Jim brings to Composite Software more than 20 years of experience in developing products and technology for enterprise computing. From July of 2000 until April of 2003, Jim served as webMethods' CTO and executive vice president of product development. He currently serves as a member of webMethods' Board of Directors. Prior to joining webMethods, Jim was CEO of Active Software, where he grew the company from a start-up to an industry leader in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) software. After the merger with webMethods, he spearheaded the integration of the two companies' product lines to create the industry's first comprehensive business integration platform. Before that, during a seven year tenure at Sun Microsystems, he led the development of the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) specification, the industry standard for distributed objects. In previous companies, he achieved several industry firsts by developing networking and distributed computing products.

Christian's career has spanned enterprise software, hardware, outsourcing, and ASPs at some of the largest and most innovative companies. Before joining Composite, Christian served as Vice President of WW Sales at Proofpoint, a messaging security company, where he built the companies sales team into a force that drove sales to over $18 million in subscription based revenue in the first two years. Prior to Proofpoint, Christian served as the VP of Global Sales at Exigen Group, VP of Field Operations at Portera Systems, and VP of Sales and Business Development at Spyglass, Inc. Prior to this, Christian's experience included Sales and Product Management experience at Hitachi Data Systems and more than ten years in sales management in IBM's Enterprise Systems Sales Organization. Christian holds a B.S. degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of California at Berkeley.

Marcy came to Composite from Blue Silicon, an enterprise software company providing unified messaging solutions, where she was VP Finance. Before that, she was a founder of Fogdog Sports and the company's CFO through its IPO in 1999. At Fogdog she raised $40M in venture funding and grew the company from four to more than 200 employees. Previously, she was in strategic planning for Walt Disney Studios, and investment banking with BT Securities in Los Angeles. Marcy graduated from Stanford University with dual degrees in economics and political science.

Thomas Banahan joined the private equity division and Lehman Brothers in 1999. Previously, he spent twenty years working as an operational manager in the technology industry. Most recently, he was the vice president of business development for Marimba, Inc. (MRBA). Thomas joined Marimba as the 14th employee and was involved in all areas of the company's growth through its successful public offering in April 1999. Prior to Marimba, he was the vice president of worldwide sales for Spyglass, Inc. (SPYG). He joined Spyglass as the 23rd employee and was instrumental in positioning Spyglass as the first Internet company to access the public equity markets in June 1995. During the six years prior to Spyglass, Thomas worked for Comdisco, Inc. (CDO) as a vice president of sales. He started his career in the sales organization at IBM (IBM) where he spent seven years. He currently is a director of Celion Networks, Inc., Composite Software, Inc., Infoblox, Network Telephone Company, Inc., Primarion, Inc. and SevenSpace. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
