Nicholas van Drimmelen is currently Director of Energy Trading at Con Edison Energy. His primary responsibility is the trading management of the company s electric portfolio, which consists of company owned and leased generation, as well as load obligations through standard offer service, load following products and retail electric supply. Prior to joining the company, Mr. van Drimmelen held various positions in the energy business over the past 17 years as a trader and risk manager in the electricity, natural gas, crude oil and petroleum products markets. He was previously employed at TXU Energy Trading (trading electricity and marketing to major industrials), Green Mountain Power (Portfolio and Supply Manager), InterCapital (Petroleum derivatives broker), Tricon (commodity fund manager) and Refco (petroleum trader). Mr. van Drimmelen graduated from the University of Exeter in 1977 with an LLB degree. He attended the Council of Legal Education, passed the Bar Finals in 1978, and was called to the Bar as a Barrister at Law in 1979.
