Dean joins ConSentry Networks from Juniper Networks, where he was vice president of emerging technologies, driving global sales of NetScreen's newest technology acquisitions and product offerings. Before joining NetScreen (acquired by Juniper in 2004), Dean was vice president of worldwide sales at TopLayer Networks, a developer of intrusion prevention, interception, and authentication access systems. Prior to that, he co-founded Congress Communications, a European sales accelerator firm for technology start-ups, including Inktomi, Arrowpoint, Ramp, and Ipivot. Prior to commercial roles Dean worked on projects with the UK Government, has a military intelligence background and was a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force, graduating from officer training at the RAF College Cranwell.
