John comes to us via Calgary, Alberta. Currently he is the Senior Human Resources Manager with Convergys here in Kamloops. John manages the Human Resources activities on behalf of 1200 Agents and staff at Kamloops' largest private sector employer. John's Human Resources career includes senior capacities with organizations such as Sobeys West, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and Ontario Hydro. His Human Resources activities have centered on employee relations, management development and organizational effectiveness. In addition to his current Board membership with the BCWP, John's other current activities include teaching Human Resources courses at Thompson Rivers University. Prior activities include Board membership with the Robert Thompson Youth and Family Centre and lengthy terms as a management volunteer with the Calgary Not for Profit Management Centre. Other volunteer activities include a three-year stint as a distress line volunteer with the Calgary Distress Centre and as a volunteer rehabilitator with the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society where he played a leading role in the raising of 3-orphaned Cougars. John is married. He and his wife have one daughter currently attending the University of Victoria who has completed her undergraduate studies earning a degree in Biology. She will be starting Masters in Resources Management in the fall of 1996.

Mike Winkleman, president of Dobbs Ferry, NY-based Leverage Media, is a long-time magazine packager, business editor, and journalist. His interest in custom publishing was first piqued in the early 1990s when, as special reports editor at Adweek, he covered developments in the fledgling custom publishing industry. After writing a number of articles about custom publishing for Folio, Mike joined forces, in 1992, with a small New York-based integrated marketing firm to launch what turned out to be a short-lived custom publishing venture called Consultancy Publishing. After that venture folded, Mike went on to develop a specialty in business-to-business custom publishing, running the Business Magazines Division at Faulkner & Gray, leading custom publishing efforts at American Lawyer Media and Chief Executive magazine, and developing custom publications for law firms, management consulting firms, and technology companies. In 2001, he launched Leverage Media, a virtual enterprise dedicated to "thought leadership marketing." Among the company's current clients are such law firms as WilmerHale, Goodwin Procter, and Patton Boggs, as well as such outsourcing, technology, and health care companies as Convergys, Neoware, and Hudson Health Plan. An active member of the Custom Publishing Council since 2002, Mike helped to develop and run the Council's successful annual awards show, The Pearls; captained the group's research activities in 2005; and created and taught a full-day course in custom publishing in conjunction with the Center for Publishing at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. In 2006, he was elected president and chairman of the CPC's board. Mike lives in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, with his wife and three children. His wife, Andrea Olstein, serves as Leverage Media's COO.

Mr. Dillon was elected Chairman of the Board on June 24, 2004 and Chief Executive Officer effective June 26, 2003. Prior to this, he was elected President and Chief Operating Officer effective January 26, 2000. Upon the merger with Fred Meyer, Inc., he was named President of the combined Company. Prior thereto, Mr. Dillon was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of Kroger effective June 18, 1995. Prior to this he was elected Executive Vice President on September 13, 1990, Chairman of the Board of Dillon Companies, Inc. on September 8, 1992, and President of Dillon Companies, Inc. on April 22, 1986.

Ronald L. Nelson has served as a member of the Hanesbrands board since July 2008. Nelson has been chairman and chief executive officer of Avis Budget Group, Inc. since August 2006. Avis Budget Group, Inc. is the legal successor to Cendant Corporation, which split into three separate public companies as of Aug. 1, 2006. Prior to the split, Nelson was a director of Cendant Corporation from April 2003, chief financial officer from May 2003 until August 2006, and president from October 2004 to August 2006. Nelson was also chairman and chief executive officer of Cendant Corporation’s vehicle rental business from January 2006 to August 2006. From December 2005 to April 2006, Nelson was interim chief executive officer of Cendant Corporation’s former travel distribution division. From April 2003 to May 2003, Nelson was senior executive vice president, finance. From November 1994 to March 2003, Nelson was co-chief operating officer of DreamWorks SKG. He was also executive vice president, chief financial officer and a director at Paramount Communications, Inc., formerly Gulf + Western Industries, Inc.
