Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Inc. (CITC) provides social, educational and employment services to Alaska Natives and Native Americans living in the Cook Inlet region. Established in 1983 by Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) as a nonprofit social services organization, CITC administers 35 culturally appropriate programs designed to assist individuals and families achieve their endless potential. These programs serve an average of 12,000 Alaska Natives and Native Americans annually. With a staff of over 300 employees, CITC offers a variety of social services under five main divisions:

Douglas W. Fifer is a police officer with the Anchorage Police Department. He is also a union representative of the Anchorage Police Department Employee Association. Fifer earned a Bachelor of Science, Occupation Education degree from Wayland Baptist University in 2004. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Management, with an emphasis on Human Resources Management, at Wayland Baptist University. His projected completion date is June 2007. Fifer was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006. His three-year term on the Board ends in 2009. He serves on Cook Inlet Tribal Council's Board, and is the chair of the Cook Inlet Tribal Council Child & Family Services Advisory Committee. Jorie Zilys has been the Tribal Scholarships Counselor for Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) since 2001. Inupiaq Eskimo from Unalakleet, Jorie is a descendant of both CIRI and Bering Straits Native Corporation. Volunteer activities include judging and scorekeeping for NYO and Junior NYO each year, judging in the GCI Academic Decathlon, and volunteering for church and community functions and gatherings. Jorie graduated from the Foraker Group Certificate in Nonprofit Management program in December 2006, and graduated with her B.A. in Organizational Management with a Nonprofit Emphasis in April 2007. She has plans to continue her education with a M.A. in Organizational Leadership or Executive Nonprofit Leadership in 2008. Jorie currently serves as Chair on the ANPA Leadership Development Committee. Personal interests include learning more about childhood development, fishing and camping, home improvement activities, crocheting, beading and various other arts and crafts.
