O. Joe Caldarelli became Chief Executive Officer and a director of CPI in March 2002. Prior to this, Mr. Caldarelli was a Co-Chief Operating Officer since October 2000 and Vice President since August 1995. Mr. Caldarelli is also the Division President of the Communications & Medical Products Division. Mr. Caldarelli was Vice President and General Manager for the Communications and Medical Products Division under the Electron Device Business of Varian Associates, Inc., from 1985 until August 1995 and was President and a director of Varian Canada, Inc. from 1992 until August 1995. From 1982 until 1985, Mr. Caldarelli was Marketing Manager of the Communications and Medical Products Division of Varian Associates, Inc. and served as its Equipment Operations Manager from 1979 until 1982. Prior to joining Varian Associates, Inc., Mr. Caldarelli served as Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Medtronic Canada, Inc. Mr. Caldarelli holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto.
Robert A. Fickett became President, Chief Operating Officer of CPI in March 2002. Prior to this, Mr. Fickett was a Co-Chief Operating Officer since October 2000 and Vice President since April 1998. Mr. Fickett has also been the Division President of the Microwave Power Products Division since April 1998. From January 1996 to April 1998, Mr. Fickett was Vice President of Operations for the Microwave Power Products Division. From 1993 until January 1996, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Altair Technologies, Inc., a contract manufacturer. From 1982 until 1993, Mr. Fickett held a number of positions with Varian Associates, Inc., including Engineering Manager of the Microwave Power Products Division's Klystron Engineering Group, to which he was promoted in 1989. Mr. Fickett received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Joel A. Littman became Chief Financial Officer of CPI in September 2001. Mr. Littman was Corporate Controller for CPI from November 1996 to September 2001. From September 1989 to November 1996 Mr. Littman served as Controller of the Microwave Power Products Division of Varian Associates, Inc. and CPI. Prior to that Mr. Littman held various finance positions with Varian Associates, Inc. and TRW Inc. Mr. Littman received a B.A. degree in economics and an M.B.A., both from the University of California at Los Angeles

Andrew E. Tafler became a Vice President of CPI in December 2005. Mr. Tafler became Division President of the Satcom Division in May 2004. Mr. Tafler was previously Vice President of Operations for the Satcom Division from 2000 to 2004. From 1989 to 2000, Mr. Tafler held the Business Development Manager and then the Operations Manager positions at the Communications and Medical Products Division of the Electron Device Group of Varian Associates Inc. Mr. Tafler held a number of manufacturing and marketing positions at Varian Associates Inc. from 1984 to 1989. Prior to joining Varian Associates, Inc., Mr. Tafler served in engineering and management positions with Bell Canada Inc. Mr. Tafler holds a B.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
Don C. Coleman became a Vice President of CPI in February 1999 and also became Division President of the Beverly Microwave Division in February 1999. Mr. Coleman was Vice President of Manufacturing for the Beverly Microwave Division from February 1996 until accepting his current position. From 1990 until 1996, Mr. Coleman held the position of Engineering Manager for Receiver Protector Products at the Beverly Microwave Division. Mr. Coleman held a variety of manufacturing and development engineering positions at Varian Associates, Inc. from the time he joined us in 1976 until 1990. Mr. Coleman received a B.S. degree in engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Michael B. Targoff is chief executive officer and president of Loral Space & Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: LORL), headquartered in New York City. He is also vice chairman of Loral's Board of Directors and serves on the Board's executive committee.
Mr. Targoff was named chief executive officer in 2006 and became president in January 2008. He originally joined Loral in 1981 and served as senior vice president and general counsel until January 1996, when he was elected president and chief operating officer of the newly formed Loral Space & Communications. He founded Michael B. Targoff & Co., in 1998 and served as principal until February 2006. The firm, which invested in telecommunications and related industry early stage companies.
Mr. Targoff is chairman of the board of CPI International, Inc, a director of ViaSat, Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) and a director of Leap Wireless International, Inc. (NASDAQ: LEAP). He is chairman of the audit committee of LEAP and a member of the audit committee of CPI International. Mr. Targoff is also chairman of the board of directors of three small private telecom companies.
Prior to joining Loral in 1981, Mr. Targoff was a partner in the New York City law firm, Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
Mr. Targoff attended Brown University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966 and he earned a doctor of jurisprudence degree degree from the Columbia University School of Law in 1969. He was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and editor of the Columbia Journal of Law & Social Problems.

Christopher Toffales joined us in February 2007 as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Effective in January 2008 Mr. Toffales was appointed to serve as our Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Toffales has been President and Director of CTC Aero, LLC, a defense advisory consulting firm, since 2003. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Toffales served as a Director of Irvine Sensors Corporation ("Irvine Sensors") of Costa Mesa, California. Irvine Sensors (Nasdaq: IRSN) is involved in the design, development, manufacture and sale of miniaturized vision systems and electronic products for defense, security and commercial applications. From January 2004 to February 2007 he served as a Director and Vice Chairman of Communications of Power Industries, Inc. a provider of military and commercial electronic products and its parent CPI International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPII). From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Toffales was a Senior Vice President of DRS Technologies, Inc., a supplier of military electronics systems (including infrared imaging systems), and also served as President of DRS Technologies Systems Company, a subsidiary of DRS Technologies. From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Toffales was Vice President for Business Development of Lockheed Martin Fairchild Systems, an aerospace and defense firm. Prior to these positions, Mr. Toffales held various officer level positions at Lockheed Martin Corporation and Loral Fairchild Systems, both of which are aerospace and defense firms. Mr. Toffales holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from City College of New York.

Mr. Larson is Vice President – Strategy and Technology for Esterline Technologies. In that position he is responsible for leading the company’s strategic initiatives and corporate development efforts. Since being promoted to this role in 2000, he has led more than 34 acquisitions. Before this position, Mr. Larson served as an Esterline Group Vice-President for 10 years.
Prior to becoming an officer of Esterline, Mr. Larson served as President of Korry Electronics after successive assignments in engineering, marketing and operations. Prior to joining Korry, he was with Zenith Electronics Corporation where he was Director of Marketing.
Mr. Larson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and an electrical engineering degree from Northwestern University. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Fraternity and serves on the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association.
