Joyce McGarvy joined Crain Communications Inc in 1979 as corporate distribution director. She oversees the distribution of all of Crain's weekly, biweekly and monthly publications. Ms. McGarvy is involved in several professional organizations including serving as president of Red Tag News Association, national co-chair of the Periodicals Focus Groups and co-chair for the Periodicals Operations Advisory Committee. She was vice-chair of the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee from 2004-05 and has since taken on the role of industry chair where she will serve through 2007. Ms. McGarvy holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Cleary College in Michigan and a masters of science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.
