Ed Deckert edeckert@crawford.com , Director of Teleport Operations and Special Projects, joined Crawford in 1988. Since then, he's been involved in two Super Bowls, the World Series, Youthlink 2000, the 1996 Olympic Games and the launch of over 40 cable networks. Under his leadership, Crawford's Satellite Services has grown into a world-renowned teleport and been awarded Uplinker of the Year for the last four years. Ed worked in radio and broadcast engineering and production for CBS and NBC affiliates in Texas before joining Crawford as a teleport and satellite truck operator. Ed graduated from the American Academy of Broadcasting and he studied communications and psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Paul Edwards pedwards@crawford.com , Transportable Operations Manager, joined Crawford in 2000. More than a decade ago, Paul built his first truck to start his own uplink company, where his first event was a live shot from a prison in Iowa. Paul is respected for his commitment to success.
Pat Webber pwebber@crawford.com , National Account Manager for Production and Satellite Sales, joined Crawford in 1995. With 11 years in the production industry, Pat's specialty is multi-camera live productions transmitted via satellite, fiber or the Internet.

Steve Davis, Post Business Manager, joined Crawford in 1985 to lead the two-room audio department. He quickly grew Crawford Audio to a 10-room facility while continuing to win numerous awards for engineering. A native of East Point, Georgia, Steve has a mental knack for intricate technology, a love for music and golden ears that make him a natural audio guy. He began his career in 1977 at a small studio in North Carolina and worked his way back to Atlanta where he earned a reputation as the first-call engineer of ad agencies and music clients. Recognized as a leader in his field, Steve is routinely called upon to lecture, lead panels, and contribute articles. A board director of SPARS, he wrote The Time Code Primer, a book adopted as a textbook by many colleges and universities. Steve stays ahead of the technology curve to help Crawford blaze trails and set standards in the industry, focusing on DTV, surround sound for broadcast, HiDef production and post-production sound . Steve earned a degree in anthropology from Georgia State University.
Vince Matherne vmathern@crawford.com , Manager of Online Operations, joined Crawford in 1997 in the accounting department and transitioned to the satellite services department in 2000. His path to the satellite industry was an uncommon one. Vince served as a production manager in the textiles industry, moved into the safety and environmental arena, and then shifted to accounting and finance. Vince earned a degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from Louisiana State University.

Brennen bdicker@crawford.com , a long-time Chicago resident, brings a unique blend of experiences to the table, having worked as a producer and director for both corporate and commercial projects. Brennen is charged with developing new clients and expanding current relationships Crawford has in the corporate and healthcare production and post-production markets. Prior to joining Crawford, Brennen started American Mongrel Productions, Inc. (AMP), an independent production company, where he developed, cultivated and generated new business and managed existing clients. Before the inception of AMP, he worked as a freelance producer/writer for many commercial and broadcast projects, selling ideas to networks like Fox Sports and PBS as well as advertising agencies in Chicago.
Christina Ferguson cferguson@crawford.com , Senior Coordinating Producer, Transportables, joined Crawford in 1998 as a traffic coordinator for the Discovery Channel. In 1999, she switched to Production Services and worked on numerous high-profile projects, including satellite media tours with President Jimmy Carter and Carson Dailey. In 2000, Christina returned to her broadcasting roots by returning to Transportables. She brings to Crawford 20 years of experience coordinating transmission services for large sporting events, including three Olympic Games and three World Cup soccer events for ABC-TV. Christina also worked for the European Broadcasting Union and the Atlanta Olympic Organizing Committee. She won an Emmy for her involvement in the 1984 Olympic Games.

John Roussell, Truck Operator, had more than a decade of television industry experience when he joined Crawford. He worked for an uplink company and served in the master control booth of a Providence television station. John earned a certificate from Sawyer Technical School.

Kitty ksias@crawford.com joins Crawford after many years as an associate producer, on-camera talent, voice talent, scriptwriter and touring musician/songwriter. Michael Cardillo, Audio Engineer, joined Crawford as an intern while in college. Clients consistently request his work on a wide variety of projects. Michael edited, sound designed and mixed the History Channel's documentary, Mr. Dreyfus Goes to Washington, and he mastered the concert footage for the most recent Lorrie Morgan DVD. Michael routinely builds radio spots and works with Tribune Creative Services and LAPTV on broadcast promos. A musician for 25 years, Michael graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee State University and is sought after for his talent, knowledge of sound design and superior mixing skills.

Michael Humphrey, Truck Operator, joined Crawford in 1999. He designed and built Crawford's Truck #7 in Dallas, Texas. Then he logged 116,000 miles in just two years. He's covered a lot of ground-from Miami, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada to Buffalo, New York. An EIC (Engineer in Charge), Michael is responsible for breaking news stories, media tours and sporting events. He has more than 17 years experience producing and working with several uplink companies. Michael earned a degree in video technology from Video Technical College in Dallas, Texas.
Mike Staggs, Truck Operator, joined Crawford in 2000. He believes he has the perfect job, covering all kinds of sporting events from basketball and football to Daytona racing. Mike spent several years in the U.S. Air Force. He also worked with AT&T in Venezuela, where he learned to meld his love for sports with a career in television.

Steve Warner, Audio Engineer, joined Crawford in 1997. Steve has extensive sound engineering experience, from building radio spots during sweeps periods to sound designing for agencies and broadcasters. He has mixed music for various artists, including Babyface and Toni Braxton. Steve's agency clients include West Wayne, Adair Greene and BBDO. His broadcast clients include TNT Latin America, Turner Classic Movies, CNN, Tribune and LAPTV. Steve earned a degree in audio from the University of Miami.

Bill has worked in the post production industry for the past eight years. He began his career in 1993 at the University of Georgia before joining VTA. In 1995, Bill moved to Brick House Editorial in Atlanta and worked as an assistant editor and editor. An Athens native, Bowen has also done freelance work in sports and documentary production. Bill works with advertising agencies, production companies, broadcast and corporate clients. Bowen's recent clients include Americana Music Television, Ketchum Communications, CNN and The Weather Channel.

Mike Allen, Editor, joined Crawford in 1988 as an online editor. He has nearly 30 years experience in the broadcast industry, having worked in video at Turner Broadcasting System and Channel 5 in Atlanta.Crawford is the perfect environment for Mike, who likes the ongoing challenge of new clients, new gear and new projects. A sports buff, he plays baseball, basketball and tennis and he relaxes with a round of golf when he can. Like most editors, Mike's a music buff, balancing a fondness for jazz with a real affection for the current Top 40.
