Mamoru Nakano joined Cray in January of 2005 as President of Cray Japan. Previously, he held the position of general manager for HPC and Linux in the Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, for Hewlett Packard. Mr. Nakano started out 23 years ago in a research position with Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, and has held a series of increasingly responsible management positions in Japan with Digital Equipment Corporation and that firm's new parent, Compaq, before the latter company was acquired by Hewlett Packard. He has demonstrated notable leadership in growing market share for DEC, Compaq and Hewlett Packard and introducing the companies' products to new customers and new market segments. His management experience includes sales, marketing and service, all in the technical computing market in which Cray also competes.

Brian Henry joined Cray in May 2005 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He has 20 years of experience as a technology company chief financial officer. Henry joined Cray after having served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Onyx Software Corporation, a full suite customer relationship management company, which he joined in 2001. Mr. Henry previously served from 1999 to 2001 as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Lante Corporation, a public internet consulting company focused on e-markets and collaborative business models. From 1998 to 1999 he was chief operating officer, information management group, of Convergys Corporation, which he helped spin-off from Cincinnati Bell Inc., a diversified service company where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer from 1993 to 1998. From 1983 to 1993 he was with Mentor Graphics Corporation in key financial management roles, serving as chief financial officer from 1986 to 1993. Mr. Henry received his B.S. degree from Portland State University and an M.B.A. at Harvard University where he was a Baker Scholar.

Steve Scott serves as Chief Technology Officer responsible for designing the integrated infrastructure that will drive Cray's next generation of supercomputer. Dr. Scott, who joined Cray in 1992, was formerly the chief architect of the Cray X1 scalable vector supercomputer and was instrumental in the design of the Cray/Sandia Red Storm supercomputer system. Dr. Scott holds fourteen US patents in the areas of interconnection networks, cache coherence, synchronization mechanisms, and scalable parallel architectures. He received his Ph.D. in computer architecture from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1992, where he was a Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and Hertz Foundation Fellow. Dr. Scott has served on numerous program committees and as an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems. He is a noted expert in high performance computer architecture and interconnection networks, and was the recipient of the 2005 ACM Maurice Wilkes Award.

Wayne Kugel serves as Vice President of Operations, responsible for manufacturing, supply chain, information technology and facilities. Andrew Wyatt joined Cray in September 2007 as Vice President for Asia-Pacific (not including Japan). His 30-year career in High Performance Computing (HPC) has included roles with Cray Research subsidiaries in Australia as Director, with SGI as Asia-Pacific Director for HPC Strategic Relationships, and with GEIS/Honeywell in Sales and Marketing. Mr. Wyatt has had extended residential postings across Asia-Pacific including India, China, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan during his HPC career. He has also had postings with the SAS Institute as the Australian Academic Program Director and with Ringier Trade Publishing (RTP) in Shanghai, China as Director of Conference and Events. He graduated from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in Civil Engineering.

Barry Bolding serves as Vice President of Scalable Systems, responsible for the product development, management, benchmarking and applications for Cray's supercomputer systems. Dr. Bolding originally joined Cray in 1992 and has since served key roles within Cray as well as with other HPC companies including SGI, Network Computing Services and IBM. Prior to his appointment as VP of Scalable Systems, Dr. Bolding served as Cray's Director of Product Marketing where he was instrumental in analyzing future products and developing long-term strategies. Over the years, Dr. Bolding has worked as a scientist, applications specialist, systems architect, pre-sales and product and market manger as well as with key customers in government, education, pharmaceutical and commercial markets. Jill Hopper joined Cray in January 2008 as Vice President of Government Programs and is responsible for managing the strategic relationship between Cray and the U.S. Federal Government. With more than 24 years of government affairs experience at the federal level, Ms. Hopper most recently served as the Vice President of Government Relations at SRA International. Prior to that, she served as Director of Government Relations at Battelle, and as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs (1999-2001) for Secretary William S. Cohen. She also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives from 1982-1992 where she staffed several appropriations subcommittees, including the subcommittee on defense, during tenures with Congressman Bernard J. Dwyer and Joseph D. Early. Ms. Hopper has an MBA from the George Washington University where she received the Bryce Harlow Scholarship two years consecutively. She has a BA in economics and psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Dan put his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington to use for Standard Oil in the mid 60's and earned an MBA from the University of Oregon before settling in and taking over for his father-in-law, Jack Kelly, in 1973. Dan's vision and guts transformed this local residential plumbing contractor to its current position as one of the largest specialty contractors in the country. In his role as chairman, Dan is committed to success through excellence and oversees JH Kelly's strategic direction. Dan's other passion is fish. He daydreams of fishing in Mexico and keeps busy watching over a commercial seiner and a custom seafood market and smoked salmon business located in Ridgefield, WA.

Until his retirement in 2004, he was a Senior Managing Director at Schwab SoundView Capital Markets. He joined SoundView in 2002 as a Senior Equity Research Analyst. Mr. Ungaro, a member of Cray's Board since August 2005, also serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer and President. Prior to his appointment as President in March 2005, and CEO in August 2005, Mr. Ungaro served as Senior Vice President responsible for sales, marketing and service. In this role Mr. Ungaro was responsible for creating and implementing Cray's worldwide sales and marketing strategy, expanding opportunities for current and future Cray products, collaborating closely with product development and other technical leaders, enhancing the capabilities of Cray's global sales force, and leading service and support for Cray's customers around the world. Mr. Blake joined the Cray Board in June 2006. Mr. Blake is a 25-year veteran of the High Performance Computing industry. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Supercomputing, Inc., a software company that develops and sells an interactive parallel computing platform that extends existing desktop simulation tools for parallel computing on a spectrum of computing architectures. Before assuming this position in January 2007, he served as Senior Vice President, Product Development of Netezza Corporation, which develops, markets and sells data warehouse appliances. Prior to joining Netezza in 2002, he was with Compaq Computer Corporation for nine years, managing both Compaq's worldwide High Performance Technical Computing business and its software development group from 1996 to 2002, which included being responsible for compiler development for the Alpha processor; from 1993 to 1996 he was Compaq's director of software products development and long-range operating system strategy. Mr. Blake previously held various key engineering management positions with Digital Equipment Corporation from 1981 to 1993. Mr. Blake is a member of the Board of Directors of Etnus, Inc., a provider of debugging and analysis solutions for complex computer codes, and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery. He received his B.S. degree from Lowell Technological Institute.
