S. Allen Lackey is the retired vice president and general counsel of Shell Oil Company. His 32-year career at Shell encompassed a wide variety of legal and business assignments. After participating in a major restructuring of Shell's U.S. operations, he served as a member of the boards of directors of Shell's principal businesses and was a director of the joint venture company that held the U.S. marketing and refining assets of both Shell and Texaco. As Shell's general counsel, Mr. Lackey was concerned with the cost and inefficiencies associated with complex litigation. This concern led to efforts to replace the standard hourly fee with incentive-based fees and the creation of a document management group to reduce costs and improve production procedures. Mr. Lackey has maintained his involvement with the energy industry since his retirement in 2000 by serving as an arbitrator and expert witness in oil and gas matters. Mr. Lackey has served as president of the Association of General Counsel, chairman of the Civil Justice Reform Group, and chairman of the American Petroleum Institute General Committee on Law. He has also served on the boards of the American Jurisprudence Society and the Houston Bar Foundation and the University of Houston Bar Foundation.

Hasting Stewart is vice president of the Shell Foundation and is director of social investment at Shell Oil Company. He is on the board of Volunteer Houston and is president of the board of the Ensemble Theater.

Patricia J. Richards is Manager of Corporate Supplier Diversity and Diversity Outreach for Shell Oil Company with responsibility for developing and implementing the strategic direction of diversity and inclusiveness for Supplier Diversity program and Diversity Outreach efforts across the Shell Companies in the United States. A significant part of her responsibilities include executing a strategic plan to achieve corporate goals and objectives for supplier utilization and inclusion. She also provides guidance to Shell leaders and supplier diversity advocates on how they can integrate best practices to achieve business unit M/WBE goals. Patricia is charged with forging dynamic relationships with minority and women business owners and support organizations like the Women?s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), RainbowPUSH Coalition and others. Born August 19th in Lampasas, Texas, Patricia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University and received her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2006. She joined Shell in January 2002, after an extensive career in supply chain management and supplier diversity with Texaco. Patricia has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the arena of minority and women business development. Her overall work experience includes twenty plus years in corporate buying organizations and supplier diversity programs. Mrs. Richards serves on several committees of minority and women support organizations such as the Houston Minority Business Council. She is a member of The Working Group, a 23-member consumer industry group. She chairs the WBENC?s Development Committee and Ambassadors Program and serves on WBENC?s board of directors. Patricia is a board member of the Minority and Women Business Development Group (MWBDG) associated with the Institute for Supply Management, working to influence the utilization of minority and women owned businesses in supply chains. Patricia is a sought after speaker on the businesscase for supplier inclusion and best practices in supplier diversity. She has received numerous awards and recognitions based on company performance and personal attributes, including recipient of the 2002 Advocate of the Year from the Houston Minority Business Council (HMBC) and recognized as a 2003 Woman of Excellence by Minority Business News USA. Shell has also received corporate recognition from local and national organizations including: 2004 Corporate Commitment Award and 2003 Innovation Award from the HMBC and the 2004 Corporate Commitment Award from the Louisiana Minority Business Council (LMBC). Shell has also received the 2003,2004 and 2005 America?s Top Corporations for WBEs Award from WBENC and 2003, 2004 Cutting Edge Awards from Women?s Business Enterprise Alliance for highest percent utilization of WBEs. Patricia resides in the Houston area with her husband and two sons. She serves as fund raising chair for a local Boy Scouts of America troop. She enjoys family, friends, travel and reading.

Allen has been an Enchanted Oaks resident since 1990. He has been on the Enchanted Oaks Civic Improvement Association and the Enchanted Oaks Homeowner's Association the entire time he has lived here, except for a short 2 year hiatus. He has served as the secretary, president, publisher of The Oakleaf, and currently serves as the head of the Deed Restriction Committee. Allen has been married nearly 24 years to Reagan and they have seven children. This fall they will have three in college, two in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school. Allen works for Shell Oil Company.

David E. Preng has been President of Preng & Associates since its inception in 1980. He has extensive search experience conducting Board of Director, Chief Executive, and other senior level assignments, both in the United States and Europe, and managed numerous global engagements for a variety of multinational clientele. Mr. Preng coordinates the firm's worldwide practice and is directly responsible for Russian, the former Soviet Union, and Far East recruiting in North America. Prior to founding Preng & Associates, Mr. Preng spent six years in the executive search industry. His industry background includes financial, managerial and executive positions with Shell Oil Company, Litton Industries and Southwest Industries. Mr. Preng earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University. Since 1997, he has been a Director of Remington Oil and Gas and is Chairman of the Compensation and Nomination & Governance committees. He is also a Director of Community National Bank and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in London. Mr. Preng is active in several international business organizations and served three terms as Director and two years as President of the British American Business Council.

Deborah Chambers Chima, "The Leadership Solutions Expert," is the President and CEO of Chambers Consulting Group, Ltd. In her consultant role, Deborah serves as a strategic partner to create and execute customized productivity initiatives designed to have a positive impact on bottom line results. Her partial list of clients includes Navistar International, Ortho-Biotech (J&J), Shell Oil, Alltel Wireless, Pro-Line International and McDonald's Corporation. Deborah is the 2006-07 President Elect for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-Chicago). She has served on the Board of Directors for the National Speakers Association (NSA-IL); Deborah is a Business Series guest lecturer at Chicago State University and is also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). Ms. Chima is passionate about helping people ignite the path that will achieve their professional goals. Deborah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Urbana. Her column, "Not for Women Only," addresses solutions to gender differences in the workplace and appears in the Business Ledger newspaper.

Keith C. Hill is currently President of Lundin Russia, Chairman of Pearl Exploration and Production and a Board Member of Tanganyika Oil. Mr. Hill was also the former Founder and President of Valkyries Petroleum Corp. He has also been the General Manager for Lundin Malaysia and Lundin Sudan. He has over 17 years of experience in the oil industry including a geologist position with Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Shell Oil Company. His educational background includes a B.Sc. in Geophysics and M.Sc. in Geology from Michigan State University and a M.B.A. in International Business and Finance from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX.

Mr. Ropp joined Barrow Hanley as a principal in October 2001 from Frost Securities, where he was a senior equity analyst and served as managing director of the Energy Group. He has 25 years of experience in the energy sector, having previously served in management positions at Shell Oil Company and Baker-Hughes INTEQ, and as a securities analyst in the energy sector at Howard, Weil, Labouisse, Friedrichs, Inc., and more recently at Frost Securities. Mr. Ropp received a Wall Street Journal "Best On The Street" listing in 2001 for his coverage of the secondary oil sector. Mr. Ropp graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He received an MBA, as well as an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tulane University.

Linda Pascali, Northeast Territory Sales Manager, brings to POLARIS 20 years of analytical laboratory testing experience. Pascali began her career as a medical technologist where she acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Additionally, she has over 10 years of experience in the oil and oil analysis industries as a technical sales representative for Shell Oil, a lubricants distributor for Neslo Petroleum, and a chemist for Mobil Oil Corporation. Pascali is based in Philadelphia.

Lynda is responsible for Zoup-ah!'s social marketing program. She is a successful sales and marketing executive with 20 years experience of providing strategic marketing services for Fortune 500 clients, including Nissan, Caterpillar, and Shell Oil. Most recently, she served as senior executive for BI (Business Improvement, Inc), where she handled training for the Nissan account. Prior to BI, Lynda spent fourteen years at Maritz Inc., a $2 billion dollar performance improvement company that provided incentives, training and communications to help clients achieve measurable business results. As a Maritz Account Manager, she designed, sold and implemented more than $81 million of integrated marketing initiatives. Lynda graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Political Science and Education. She also did graduate studies at the University of London, School of Oriental & African Studies and University of Paris, Sorbonne.

A drafting supervisor for Shell Oil Company in Houston for 31 years, Nancy Duke has found volunteering a fulfilling way to spend her retirement years. Mrs. Duke volunteers weekly at the Unforgettable Tuesdays Day Club, a club serving persons with dementia or Alzheimer's disease by offering social and cognitive activities. Made possible through the Alzheimer's Alliance of Northeast Texas, the Day Club offers a much needed respite for the caregiver as well.

Peter Gross received a B.Sc. Degree with Honours in Geological Engineering in 1961 and a M.Sc. Degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1964. Both Degrees were obtained at the Montana School of Mines. At this time, Peter commenced full time employment with Shell Oil Company. The first two years were spent in Calgary and the next five years in California. He started as Exploitation Engineer, then Special Studies projects for enhanced recoveries, then went on to be the District Engineer. From late 1969 to 1971, Peter was employed with Husky Oil in Calgary as Sr. Engineer and then as Chief Engineer. Mr. Gross moved to Uno Tex Petroleums in 1972 as Manager of Drilling, Engineering and Production until 1977. He went to work with Sceptre Resources, a start up company, as Manager of Production, Engineering and Drilling until 1979. In late 1979, Mr. Gross became Vice President of Macquest Resources Ltd. until mid 1984 when it was sold to a Louisiana company, L.L.E. In late 1984, he took control of Futurity Oil & Gas Ltd. as President and in 1993 left Futurity, which was now called Baca Resources, to help start a private company called Futurity Energy Corporation in the position of Chairman. In 1997, the company was sold to Viking Energy Royalty Trust. He joined Viking four months later as Vice President Production and COO until retiring on Dec. 31, 2001. Mr. Gross now runs his own personal company Converse Investments Ltd. and consults to two private family companies.

DR. WADE CALLENDER is a physical chemist who began designing jewelry as a hobby in 1970 while conducting research for Shell Oil Company. His initial efforts focused on lapidary work, but he soon ventured into metalsmithing in order to obtain the harmonious blend of metal and stone which is characteristic of his designs. Wade has studied metalsmithing and jewelry extensively with Professor Val Link at the University of Houston and has worked as an assistant to Professor Link at U of H for over ten years. His primary interests are in the design and fabrication of pieces in which freeform cabochons are integrated into the fluid shape and texture of the metal. His goal is to bring the color, shape and texture of the gemstones into a unified composition with the metal. He does both the lapidary and the silver/gold craftsmanship himself, allowing a wide range of opportunity in design and utilizing a diverse selection of natural stones.
