Joseph Yang is a Founding Partner of PatentEsque Law Group, LLP where he specializes in technology transactions, patent licensing and intellectual property strategy. He also currently serves as Vice President and General Counsel of Cryptography Research, Inc. Before joining PatentEsque Law Group, Joe previously co-founded and later led the intellectual property transactions practice at the Palo Alto office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, one of the world's preeminent corporate law firms with offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Joe's group was responsible for advising clients throughout the firm's Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Asia-Pacific offices in all types of intellectual property transactions, with a particular focus on technology alliances, joint ventures, licensing, development/services and web commerce agreements. While at Skadden, Joe also served as lead or co-lead IP counsel for over one hundred major technology mergers and acquisitions handled by the firm, including HP-Compaq, Yahoo-Inktomi, Quantum-Certance, and many others. Joe's practice includes advising clients on all aspects of intellectual property, with a focus on structuring, negotiating and implementing technology transfer, technology alliance, joint venture, patent licensing and e-commerce agreements, as well as IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Dan Boneh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University. His research focuses on cryptography, specifically the security of cryptographic primitives and their application in real-world systems. He is the author of numerous technical papers in the field as well as several patents. At Stanford he leads a number of security-based projects on topics such as intrusion tolerance and security applications for handheld devices. His recent research topics have also included studying the underlying mathematical security of the RSA algorithm and testing real-world systems for vulnerabilities to timing attack cryptanalysis.

Martin Hellman is best known for his invention of public key cryptography (joint with Diffie and Merkle). He received his BE(EE) magna cum laude from New York University in 1966, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1967 and 1969, both in Electrical Engineering. Prof. Hellman was a member of the research staff at IBM's Watson Research Center from 1968-69 and of MIT's EE faculty from 1969-71. He served on the regular EE faculty at Stanford from 1971 to 1996, when he became Professor Emeritus. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, as well as a recipient of the Marconi Award, widely considered the most prestigious award in the field of telecommunications.
