Michael W. Bonney has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors since June 2003. Barry I. Eisenstein, M.D. has served as our Senior Vice President, Scientific Affairs since July 2004. David S. Mantus, Ph.D. has served as our Vice President, Regulatory Affairs since May 2005. Mr. Singleton has served as one of our directors since June 2003. Dr. Corrigan joined Sepracor in 2003 as Executive Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to joining Sepracor, Dr. Corrigan joined the Upjohn Company in 1993, which became Pharmacia Corp. in 1996. At Pharmacia, Dr. Corrigan served as Group Vice President of Global Clinical Research and Experimental Medicine and in 1998, was promoted to Group Vice President, Global Clinical Research, with responsibility for clinical research, biostatistical/data management and global procurement for compounds in Phases I-IIIB. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry with the Upjohn Company, Dr. Corrigan spent several years in academic research at the University of North Carolina Medical School, focusing in psychoneuroendocrinology. During his tenure, Dr. Corrigan was a principal investigator for several novel antipsychotics and continues to maintain an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. Dr. Corrigan has over twenty years of experience in treating psychiatric and central nervous system disorders and is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. Dr. Corrigan earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia and subsequently received specialty training in psychiatry at Cornell and Maine Medical Center. Dr. Corrigan serves as a board member of Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Neuromed Technologies Inc. and has been elected as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

With more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Soeters presently serves as Senior Vice President for Europe for Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company and worldwide leader in diabetes care. In this position, he is responsible for approximately 2,500 employees and more than $3,2 billion in revenue. Mr. Soeters is of Dutch origin and began his career with Novo Nordisk at the Dutch affiliate. In his 27 years of service to Novo Nordisk, Mr. Soeters has also held the positions of Senior Vice President, International Marketing for Novo Nordisk A/S in Denmark, General Manager of Novo Nordisk affiliates in France and Belgium, and President in the United States and Senior Vice President for North America for Novo Nordisk. Dr. Rosenberg has served as one of our directors since March 2005. Since 2003, Dr. Rosenberg has been the Chief Scientific Officer of Promega Corporation, a biotechnology company. From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Rosenberg served as Vice President, Research and Development of Promega Corporation. From 2000 until 2001, Dr. Rosenberg was Senior Vice President, Anti-Infectives, Drug Discovery at GlaxoSmithKline, a pharmaceutical company. From 1996 until 2000, Dr. Rosenberg was Senior Vice President, Anti-Infectives at SmithKline Beecham Corporation, a predecessor company to GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to 2000, Dr. Rosenberg held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility with SmithKline Beecham Corporation. Before joining SmithKline Beecham, Dr. Rosenberg spent 10 years at the National Institutes of Health and was a Section Chief at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Rosenberg is a director of Promega Corporation, the Medical College of Wisconsin Research Foundation, and Scarab Genomics, a biotechnology company. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Health. He participates on a variety of academic and industry Scientific Advisory Boards and holds an adjunct Professorship at the University of Wisconsin, Department of Bacteriology, Madison, WI. Dr. Rosenberg is an Editor of Microbial Biotechnology, a Senior Editor of the Journal of Bacteriology and a member of several other journal Editorial Boards.
