Allen K. Roberson, CPA has served as our chief financial officer since September 2007. Prior to becoming chief financial officer, Mr. Roberson served as our vice president of finance and accounting. Mr. Roberson joined CyDex in February 2003. During his ten years with Sanofi-Aventis and its predecessor companies in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Roberson's responsibilities included global accounting, sales regional controller, operations finance and contract management. From 1988 to 1991, Mr. Roberson served at Deloitte & Touche, where he managed audits and financial reviews across multiple industries. Mr. Roberson received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Drake University.

Dr. Thompson is the former chief scientific officer and co-founder of CyDex. While at CyDex, she managed the scientific, technical and regulatory affairs involved in the establishment of the company's enabling drug delivery technology, Captisol a modified cyclodextrin. Prior to joining CyDex, Dr. Thompson directed the development of Captisol technology at the University of Kansas Higuchi Bioscience Center for Drug Delivery Research. At the Center, she was responsible for the commercial and scientific developments of three drug delivery technologies involving cyclodextrin, pro-drug and supercritical fluid technologies. Dr. Thompson has gained experience and expertise in pharmaceutical development over the past 15 years through associations with Ciba-Geigy, Oread Laboratories, the American Health Foundation, SUNY and the University of Kansas Medical Center. She received a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Kansas.

Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience in strategic business transactions and licensing and development agreements. Before joining CyDex in 2005, he was business development manager for pharmaceuticals at Perrigo Company. Serving in that position, Mr. Rodriguez managed a pipeline of 23 projects, negotiated and structured licensing and joint venture agreements, and developed product launch, growth and life-cycle management strategies. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Rodriguez served in marketing and business development with FMC Corporation. From 1994 to 1999, he was general manager of UCP, SA and the wholesale division of Office Depot Mexico, coordinating growth initiatives and spearheading the merger of his family's business into a major multinational company. He earned a bachelor's degree from Tulane University and a master's degree in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He earned a B.S. degree from Tulane University and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.

John M. Siebert, Ph.D. has served on our board of directors since January 2004. Dr. Siebert joined CyDex as a consultant in May 2003 and became chairman and chief executive officer in January 2004. Prior to joining CyDex, Dr. Siebert was president and chief executive officer of CIMA Labs, a drug delivery technology company, from 1995 to 2003. Prior to joining CIMA, Dr. Siebert served in scientific, quality assurance and product development roles with G. D. Searle, E.R.Squibb, Bayer and Dey Laboratories, as well as Procter & Gamble. Dr. Siebert serves on the board of directors of Aradigm Corporation, a public pharmaceutical company, and Primus Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Siebert holds a bachelor s degree in chemistry from Illinois Benedictine University, a master's degree in organic chemistry from Wichita State University, and a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Missouri.

Steve brings to Water Street more than 16 years of senior management experience in key healthcare segments, including specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and outsourced payer and pharmaceutical services. Prior to Water Street, Steve was President and CEO of Priority Healthcare. Among his many accomplishments, he helped lead the company’s successful initial public offering from its former parent, Bindley Western Industries, where he served as Senior Vice President. Steve also held executive positions with CoreSource, one of the nation’s largest third-party administrators of employee health benefits. Prior to focusing on the healthcare industry, Steve achieved a distinguished management career at IBM Corporation. He currently serves as the Chairman of Access MediQuip and also serves on the boards of CareCentrix, CCS Medical, CyDex Pharmaceuticals, Claymore Securities, HealthPlan Holdings and SXC Health Solutions. Steve received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.

Mr. Thornton is currently SVP, Head of Product, Technology and Business Development Elan Drug Technologies. He was formerly president and chief operating officer of Circ Pharma Limited, a specialty pharmaceutical product development company, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Antigenics Inc., a NASDAQ listed biotechnology company, as well as senior vice president of business operations at Elan Corporation plc. He previously held a series of other senior finance and operations roles with Elan. Prior to joining Elan in 1994, Mr. Thornton worked with the international accounting firm KPMG in Dublin and Paris. Mr. Thornton is a director of US based Antigenics Inc. and Cydex Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company. Mr. Thornton earned his bachelor's degree in commerce from University College, Cork, Ireland, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Vincent Antle, Ph.D. has served as our Director, Technical Operations since June 2006. Prior to becoming a director, Dr. Antle served as our manager of technical operations. Dr. Antle joined CyDex in September 2005. Prior to joining CyDex, Dr. Antle was manager of technical operations at EaglePicher Pharmaceutical Services from 1999 to 2005, where his responsibilities included project oversight, client interactions, proposal preparation, product development, setting production time-lines and project budget assessments. Dr. Antle holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Minnesota Morris and a doctorate in medicinal chemistry from the University of Cincinnati.
