Dr. Rafael Sierra has been our chief technology officer since May 1997. Sierra has been involved in the laser and fiber optics industries for over 25 years. From 1991 to 1995, he served as director of laser technology at Candela Corporation, a provider of laser and other light-based aesthetic treatment systems. Sierra has been awarded seven patents related to medical devices and methods.

Timothy W. Baker Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Timothy Baker has been our executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer since March 2004. From July 2003 to February 2004, Baker served as vice president, finance at Stryker Biotech, a division of Stryker Corporation-a medical products and services provider. From July 2000 to June 2003, Baker served as president and chief financial officer at Photoelectron Corp., a provider of miniature x-ray systems for radiation therapy. From January 1996 to July 2000, he served as chief financial officer and vice president of operations at Radionics, Inc., a provider of surgical devices. Baker is a certified public accountant and holds an M.B.A. in operations management.

David Mackie has been our vice president, operations since April 2004. From January 2000 to October 2003, Mackie served as senior director of operations at Alcatel-an international telecommunications company-with responsibility for Alcatel's Chelmsford, Massachusetts operations organization.

Douglas J. Delaney Executive Vice President, Sales Douglas Delaney has been our executive vice president, sales since February 2005 and has worked in medical laser sales for more than ten years. From May 2004 through February 2005, Delaney was our vice president, North American sales, and from September 2003 through May 2004, he was our director of North American sales. From September 1999 to September 2003, he served as national sales manager at Cutera, Inc.

Kenji Shimizu has been our senior vice president, international sales since April 1999. During the 20 years prior to joining Cynosure, Shimizu held senior international sales positions at several laser companies.

Cynosure, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYNO), a leading developer and manufacturer of a broad array of light-based aesthetic treatment systems, today announced the appointment of H. Travis Lee as vice president of global marketing. Lee will develop and implement worldwide strategic marketing initiatives for all of Cynosure's flagship products, including the Smartlipo MPX, the company's newest system for laser lipolysis, which will debut internationally in the second half of this year. "As a global marketing executive, Travis has produced outstanding results in a career that spans more than two decades and includes two of the medical device industry's leading companies -- Smith & Nephew and Boston Scientific," said Cynosure President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Davin. "Colleagues and co-workers praise his ability to articulate brand value, cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders and identify new business opportunities." Lee joined Cynosure from the global medical technology company Smith & Nephew Inc., where he served as global director of marketing for the endoscopy division, with responsibility for two franchises that accounted for more than $300 million in revenue. In addition to building and leading the department, he developed key opinion leaders and integrated them into the division's product development process, and led the efforts behind two significant acquisition targets. Prior to that he worked for more than five years at Boston Scientific Corp., a manufacturer of products for minimally invasive surgical procedures, first as principal product manager in the urology/gynecology division and then as group product manager in the neurovascular division. In this role he had global responsibility for a product line with 70% worldwide market share. In addition, Lee has worked in executive marketing positions for companies including Cell Robotics, Inc., Medasonics, Inc., Xintec Corp. and Heraeus Surgical Inc., which was later acquired by Laserscope. Among his accomplishments at Heraeus Surgical, Lee managed the investigation, implementation and launch of a new CO2 laser system for cosmetic applications that generated more than $10 million in sales in less than six months. He also successfully launched four new capital laser equipment products and more than 10 new disposable and reusable laser accessories in his first year.

John Lenihan has been our vice president of international distribution since September 2007. From 2001 to August, 2007, Lenihan served as director, international distribution at Cutera, Inc. From 1998 to 2001, he was director of international sales and marketing for Diomed Ltd., a medical laser manufacturer. From 1986 to 1998 he held senior management positions in marketing, sales and oversaw direct distribution offices in Germany, France and Scandinavia as general manager at Coherent Medical.

Dr. Malan was the first and is still the most experienced Vaginal Rejuvenation Surgeon in Arizona. Dr. Malan is an instructor for the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecology, where he teaches his unique rejuvenation procedures to doctors from through-out the United States and Canada. Recently, Dr. Malan was the key-note speaker on Smartlipo for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery's annual meeting. Dr. Malan is also a National Trainer and Speaker for Vaser Institute, Wells Johnson as well as Cynosure , and he is the lead physician and researcher for the Smartlipo Institute. As Director of the SMARTLIPO Institute of Scottsdale, Arizona, Todd K. Malan, M.D. has performed more SMARTLIPO procedures than any other surgeon in the United States. Doctors from around the nation travel to Arizona to be trained by Dr. Malan on this procedure. Todd Malan, M.D. founded the Innovative Cosmetic Surgery Center in an effort to assist patients in understanding how advances in minimally invasive surgical techniques could provide them with safer and more reliable options to traditional surgery. As part of that mission, he received further advanced training in Laser liposculpturing and in Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation and Designer Laser Vaginoplasty. These new and exciting body- contouring and rejuvenation procedures provide our patients with the opportunity to eliminate difficult fatty areas, to correct functional problems that prevent a healthy sex life and to improve their self- image. Ettore Biagioni has been a director since September 2005. Since 2004, Biagioni has been a managing partner of Alothon Group LLC, a private equity firm which he co-founded. From 1995 to 2004, he served as head of the Latin America Private Equity Group of Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust Company. Biagioni serves on the boards of directors of several private companies.

Professor Leonardo Masotti has been a director since 2002. Masotti has been a full professor in electronics at the University of Florence, Italy since 1976, where he has also served as the director of the doctorate course in non destructive testing since 1989. Masotti has served as the president of the Research Consortium Centro Eccellenza Optronica in Florence, Italy since 1992. He is a member of the Regional High Technology Director Board (Florence) as well as the editorial board of "Fisica Medica." Masotti has been awarded 30 patents and is the author of 180 scientific and technical papers. Prof. Masotti's wife is a director of El.En.

Thomas Robinson has been a director since September 2005. Since 1998, Robinson has been the managing partner of the global Medical Technology Practice of Spencer Stuart, Inc., a global executive search firm. From 1993 to 1997, he served as president of the emerging markets business at Boston Scientific Corporation, a global medical devices manufacturer. From 1991 to 1993, Robinson also served as president and chief operating officer of Brunswick Biomedical, a cardiology medical device company.
