CytoCore, Inc. (CCI or the Company), formerly Molecular Diagnostics, Inc., develops, manufactures and sells an integrated family of cost-effective products for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer under the trade name of CytoCore Solutions tm . CytoCore Solutions products are intended to address sample collection, specimen preparation, specimen evaluation (including detection/screening and diagnosis), and patient treatment and monitoring within vertical markets related to specific cancers. Current CytoCore Solutions products are focused upon cervical cancer. CCI plans that this focus will later be expanded to include other gynecological cancers as well as bladder, lung, and breast cancers, among others. Within each of these markets, CCI anticipates that the CytoCore Solutions products will be sold as individual value-added drop-in replacements for existing products and as integrated systems that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical and laboratory operations. In addition, most CytoCore Solutions products are specifically designed to support multiple markets, thus providing the customer with a comprehensive and internally consistent migration path as new disease-specific products are added to the CytoCore portfolio. Robert F. McCullough, Jr. was elected Chief Financial Officer and director of the Company in September 2005 and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in October 2007. Mr. McCullough was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors on April 21, 2009, to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Burns resignation as such on that date. In addition, he currently serves as President and as a Portfolio Manager of Summitcrest Capital, Inc., a money management firm and registered investment adviser, a position he has held since October 2003. Dr. Gorodeski is a gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospitals of Cleveland, and Professor of Reproductive Biology at CASE (Case Western Reserve) University. He also holds professorships at CASE departments of Oncology, and Physiology and Biophysics. Dr. Gorodeski has been lead or co-investigator on over 40 basic science projects and FDA-approved clinical trials. He has written over 170 publications, including 95 peer-reviewed articles in his areas of research, as well as 5 patents filed. Dr. Gorodeski was the original developer and patented the Company's e Collector , the originator of combining multiple biomarkers into the "cocktail" approach for cervical cancer screening, and developer of the concept of mapping of cervical lesions. Dr. Gorodeski's academic career combines a busy clinical practice, active basic and clinical research, and professional service. Among his service responsibilities he serves as President for the North American Menopause Society (2005-2006), Chairperson of an NIH Study Section, and Chairman of the OB-GYN departmental Investigational Review Board.

Dr Janssen is currently head of the Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics of the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He studied biology in Leiden, The Netherlands. In 1988 he joined the research group of Prof. Galjaard and Dr. Halley at the Department of Clinical Genetics Rotterdam, where he and his co workers managed to identify three major genes: TSC1 and TSC2, both causing tuberous sclerosis, and PKD1, causing polycystic kidney disease. In 1996 he moved to Germany to set up a diagnostic service in Heidelberg. His laboratory soon became one of the largest laboratories for molecular diagnostics in Germany. Dr. Janssen's main interest is the cloning of disease genes involved in complex disorders. He is (co-)author of more than 30 scientific publications and received several scientific awards.

Dr. Raab currently serves as chief of pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside, where his work has focused largely on improving the accuracy of the Pap test process in the laboratory. His is the first academic center devoted exclusively to research related to anatomic pathology practice, services and quality improvement. Additionally, Dr. Raab directs the UPMC Center for Pathology Quality and Healthcare Research and is a member of the Center of Pathology Informatics, the first center of its kind to use modern computing and communications techniques in the management and analysis of clinical and research pathology data.
