Senior Editor Donna Berry applies her expertise in dairyfoods product development in each month's Ingredient Technology feature. Her experience also extends to new products and marketing. Donna reviews dairy product introductions in the monthly New Product Review section. She then mixes in trend analysis in the New Product Closeup, a profile of a single new product with a look at its category and how it was marketed. Donna uses her Lab Talk column as a vehicle for sharing her product developer's insight. Prior to joining Dairy Foods as Technical Editor in 1993, Donna specialized in product development of natural and specialty cheeses at Kraft Foods. Before Kraft, she worked at Best Foods in quality assurance, and at the Edlong Corp. as a sensory and applications technician. She holds a B.S. in food science from the University of Illinois. She is an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists and frequently speaks at industry events.
