Margaret Lawrence is Director of Programming at the Hopkins Center, Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, one of the original prototypes of campus-based performing arts centers in North America. There, she curates a program of over 50 annual visiting artist events, including the commissioning of new works and approximately 500 arts education activities each year. She has served on panels for the Connecticut, Massachusetts, Oregon and Vermont arts commissions, and is an Advisory Panel member for the Performing Arts Japan program of the Japan Foundation. Lawrence is a hub-site advisor for the New England Foundation for the Arts' (NEFA) National Dance Project; has represented New England in Australia, Japan, Cambodia, China, Uzbekistan, Mexico and Indonesia; and has taught professional workshops in Russia and throughout the United States. Her double BA is from the University of California, Berkeley; in Anthropology and Humanities. She has worked in presenting, education and marketing for the Hult Center (Eugene, Oregon), Life on the Water (San Francisco, California), and the Marlboro Music Festival (Vermont). Lawrence is currently curating a North American tour of ethnic minority performers from Yunnan, China.

Mr. Haldeman is President and Chief Executive Officer of Putnam Investments in Boston. He is a member of Putnam Investments' Executive Board of Directors and Advisory Council. Prior to becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in November 2003, Mr. Haldeman served as Co-Head of Putnam Investments' Investment Division. At Putnam, Mr. Haldeman is focused on pursuing investment excellence, building an investor-centered culture, and helping clients achieve their investment objectives. He has directed the firm's investment philosophy toward the goal of achieving consistent, dependable, and superior performance across all asset classes. He has worked with Putnam's Mutual Fund Board of Trustees to implement a series of investor initiatives targeted at reducing shareholder costs and providing investors with enhanced disclosure. During his tenure, Putnam became the first investment management firm to adopt reforms based on the Mutual Fund Protection Principles, a series of reforms endorsed by CalPERS and CalSTRS, which are among the largest pension funds in the United States. Mr. Haldeman has 30 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Putnam Investments in 2002, he held executive positions in the investment management industry. From 2000 to 2002, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Delaware Investments and from 1998 to 2000 as President and Chief Operating Officer of United Asset Management Corporation. Mr. Haldeman was also a partner and director of Cooke & Bieler, Inc., an investment management firm, from 1974 to 1998. Mr. Haldeman earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar, a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, and an A.B. summa cum laude from Dartmouth College. Mr. Haldeman currently serves as a Trustee of Dartmouth College and is a member of Partners HealthCare Systems Investment Committee.

Dr. G. Christian Jernstedt is Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Dartmouth College, where he has been a faculty member for thirty-five years, and Adjunct Professor of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School. He currently directs the school s Center for Educational Outcomes and has pioneered the effective use of electronically supported teaching and learning, employing brain-based learning concepts. Dr. Jernstedt has served as a consultant for educational think tanks, major corporations, state and city governments, colleges and universities, independent schools, public school systems, teacher training institutions, and health care organizations. He has written over 100 articles, reports, and papers and has extensive experience in high technology research, administration, and product design/development. He has chaired Dartmouth's Council on Computing, was a member of the Presidential Task Force on the Future of Educational Computing at Dartmouth, and chaired Dartmouth s Committee on Distance Learning. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Johns Hopkins University.

Len Greenhalgh is Professor of Management at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, where he is also director of programs for minority- and women-owned entrepreneurial businesses. He comes from a practitioner background that includes work as a purchasing manager in a multinational corporation, founding and running two small corporations, and management consulting. Born and raised in Great Britain, Len completed his education in the United States. He received a Ph.D. from Cornell University, building on an undergraduate background in engineering and science and an MBA. He was also a post-doctoral fellow in clinical psychology at Dartmouth Medical School. He has been at the Amos Tuck School since 1978, and has also taught at Stanford University, Cornell University, and MIT. He ran the Business Bridge programme at Oxford University from 1997-2000. He has done executive education in conjunction with Dartmouth College, Stanford University, Oxford University, London Business School, Cornell University, Duke University, University of North Carolina, and Universitatsseminar der Wirtschaft

Mr. McKenna has served as a director of School Specialty since June 1998. From September 2002 through February 2006, Mr. McKenna was the non-executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. McKenna is a self-employed financial consultant. He is a director and a member of the Executive Committee of the Boston and New York Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company. Mr. McKenna is a director and member of the John Brown Cook Foundation, a foundation established to support organizations that promote the American way of life, and an overseer to the Catholic Student Center at Dartmouth College.

Daniel W. Offit is a Managing Director at Offit Hall Capital Management LLC. Previously, Mr. Offit was the Managing Director of Pacific Coast activities for OFFITBANK. Prior to his work at OFFITBANK, Mr. Offit spent four years with Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Vice President in the International Equities Division. From 1990-1992, Mr. Offit was a Senior Credit Analyst at Manufacturer?s Hanover Trust and Company. Mr. Offit received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in 1990, and holds a Master of Arts in International Relations with concentrations in Asian Studies, and International Economics from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of The Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Offit's outside affiliations include serving as a member of the Advisory Council for the American Museum of Natural History. He also serves on the Board of Visitors for the William Jewett Tucker Foundation at Dartmouth College.

Mr. Smith has extensive experience in an advisory role for boards of directors regarding corporate governance, independent director duties and the fiduciary duties of directors and management. Mr. Smith is committed to community service. Mr. Smith serves on the Board of Trustees of such organizations as Stanford University, The Collaborative Education Partnership, The National Kidney Foundation of Georgia, Prevent Blindness Georgia and The Rabun Gap Nacoochee School. He also served on the Presidents' Counsel of the Woodruff Arts Center, Alumni Board of Governors at The Westminster Schools, and Leadership Atlanta. Mr. Smith is a member of the MBA Advisory Board and has served as lecturer and executive in residence at The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Mr. Smith is married to Maria Susana Gancedo. They have four children and live in Ansley Park. Most of their time is dedicated to their children. They like to travel particularly to South America, which is where Mrs. Smith grew up and Mr. Smith's business takes him from time to time. Mr. Smith's personal interests include golf, music, architecture and the outdoors.
