Charles is the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at DataDirect Technologies, an $80M+ global software company that has long been a market leader in data access and integration technologies. He manages a geographically distributed team of 20 marketers who support nearly 100 sales professionals worldwide. He is also an advisor to two local startups, Jackbe and Zenoss. Charles lives in Burke Virginia with his fantastic wife and three very cool kids.

As vice president of research and development for DataDirect Technologies, Rob is responsible for the development, strategy and oversight of the company's data connectivity products including the Shadow mainframe integration suite client software and the industry-leading Connect family of database drivers and data providers: Connect for ODBC, Connect for JDBC and Connect for ADO.NET. Additional product development responsibilities include DataDirect Sequelink, and DataDirect XQuery, as well as the management of DataDirect's Custom Engineering Development group. Rob has spent more than 14 years developing database access middleware, including .NET data providers, ODBC drivers, JDBC drivers, and OLE DB providers. He has held a number of management and technical positions at DataDirect Technologies and serves on various standard committees. Earlier in his career, he worked as lead software engineer at Marconi Commerce Systems Inc. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, Raleigh.

At Softek, Frederick S. (Rick) Rolandi is responsible for overseeing the finance, legal and information technology business functions, supporting the company's Nonstop Data Mobility? solutions. Rolandi joins Softek from DataDirect Technologies, a Rockville, Maryland-based developer of data connectivity software solutions, where he served as CFO for nearly three years and helped lead the company's financial activities in becoming an independent company following a management-led buyout and then in selling the company to Progress Software. Under his leadership, the company's first two fiscal years as an independent company resulted in consecutive year-over-year increases in revenues and profitability, while also generating strong operating cash flows. Prior to joining DataDirect, Rolandi served as CFO for Landmark Systems, a publicly-traded developer of performance management software (now a subsidiary of Allen Systems Group). He also served in executive-level positions at INTERSOLV (now a unit of Merant) and at Honeywell Measurex DMC. Rolandi earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University .
