Louis Swart louiss@pacificsecuritycapital.com serves as President of Pacific Security Capital. Louis is responsible for oversight of all balance sheet investments at the holding company level and PSC marketing initiatives. He is a graduate of the University of South Africa and did his post graduate work at Texas Christian University.
Stuart Itkin brings a new meaning to the phrase "people person." Going through an undergraduate program in psychology and a doctoral program in applied statistics and quantitative methods, Itkin developed a passion for problem solving and bringing people into alignment. His graduate studies and fellowship at Bell Labs focused on multi-dimensional scaling and multi-variate analysis, with an emphasis on understanding how people perceive their world and one another, as well as what causes people to have certain ideas or impressions. Considering his "people" background, it is fitting that Itkin now works for Kronos a company that is solely focused on delivering solutions that enable companies to better manage people in the workplace. Itkin believes his education aligns with the crux of marketing. In his role as chief marketing officer of Kronos, Itkin must be adept at gaining insights about how products, solutions, and companies are perceived. And he must work with his team of marketing professionals to devise strategies, programs, and product offerings that shape those perceptions and beliefs. Prior to joining Kronos, Itkin was vice president of marketing at Zebra Technologies Corporation, a global leader in specialty printing solutions for business and process improvement. Itkin led the company's domestic and international marketing activities, developing and implementing marketing strategies focused on maximizing sales growth and profitability. Itkin also has held executive marketing roles at General Instrument Corporation, s e-technologies, PSC Inc., and Symbol Technologies, Inc. In many of these companies, he played an instrumental role in facilitating a company transition toward maintaining or achieving a trajectory of consistent and rapid growth. Itkin believes in deliberation and perseverance. His motto is to "Move deliberately. Do something well, do it better than anybody else, and then do something more." He hopes that the mark he leaves on others is one of enrichment. Itkin frequently shares his keen understanding of the technology industry via speaking engagements at industry conferences. He is often quoted in the media on trends in managing the workforce. He has served as director of the Chicago chapter of the Business Marketing Association, a director of the Recognition Technology User Association, and a director of AIM Global, the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility. When he's not devising Kronos' next strategic marketing move, Itkin can be found spending time with his family, playing racquet ball, bicycling, or traveling.
