Mr. Rutherford was named PSI's Chief Operating Officer in March 2006, after having served nearly 20 years at HCA Inc. From 1996 to 2005, Mr. Rutherford was a senior officer of HCA, serving as Chief Financial Officer - Eastern Group, responsible for the financial operations of over 90 hospitals in six operating divisions across the Eastern portion of the United States. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of HCA's Georgia Division, as well as in several other positions, including Director of Internal Audit and Director of Operations Support. Mr. Rutherford left HCA in 2005 to launch a consulting group, focused on executive learning and management training.

Mr. Gordon has served as a director since February 2006. Mr. Gordon is a principal of Bain Capital who joined the firm in 1997. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Gordon was a consultant at Bain & Company, Inc., and currently serves as a director of Hospital Corporation of America. Mr. Gordon received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar, and graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. in economics from Harvard College.

Richard M. Bracken assumed the role as HCA’s President and Chief Executive Officer in 2009. He began his career with HCA in 1981 and has held various executive positions with the company, including Chief Executive Officer of the Green Hospital of Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in San Diego and Chief Executive Officer of Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1995, Bracken was appointed President of HCA's Pacific Division. He was named HCA's Western Group President in 1997, Chief Operating Officer in July 2001 and became President and Chief Operating Officer of HCA in January 2002. He was elected to the HCA Board of Directors in November 2002. Mr. Bracken is a member of the American Society of Corporate Executives and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Jonathan B. Perlin is President, Clinical Services and Chief Medical Officer of Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA (Hospital Corporation of America). He provides leadership for clinical services and improving performance at HCA’s 163 hospitals and 112 outpatient centers. Current activities include implementing electronic health records throughout HCA, improving clinical “core measures” to benchmark levels, and leading patient safety programs to eliminate preventable, drug resistant, healthcare-associated infections. Before joining HCA in 2006, Dr. Perlin was Under Secretary for Health in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate, as the senior-most physician in the Federal Government and Chief Executive Officer of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Dr. Perlin led the nation’s largest integrated health system. At VHA, Dr. Perlin directed care to over 5.4 million patients annually by more than 200,000 healthcare professionals at 1,400 sites, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, counseling centers and other facilities, with an operating and capital budget of over $34 billion. A champion for implementation of electronic health records, Dr. Perlin led VHA quality performance to international recognition as reported in academic literature and lay press and as evaluated by RAND, Institute of Medicine, and others. Dr. Perlin has served on numerous Boards and Commissions including the National Quality Forum, the Joint Commission, Meharry Medical College and the American Health Information Community. Broadly published in healthcare quality and transformation, he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Medical Informatics. Dr. Perlin has a Master’s of Science in Health Administration and received his Ph.D. in pharmacology (molecular neurobiology) with his M.D. as part of the Physician Scientist Training Program at the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Recognized as one of the 15 most influential physician executives in the United States by Modern Healthcare, Dr. Perlin has received numerous awards including Distinguished Alumnus in Medicine and Health Administration from his alma mater, the Founders Medal from the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, and is one of nine honorary members of the Special Forces Association and Green Berets. Dr. Perlin has faculty appointments at Vanderbilt University as Adjunct Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics and at VCU as Adjunct Professor of Health Administration. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two children.

Michael Neeb is Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of International Operations for HCA Inc, a leading owner and operator or hospitals with 181 hospitals and 78 ambulatory surgery centres. He has responsibility for the six HCA hospitals in London, as well as the Hopital de la Tour and Clinique de Carouge in Geneva,. Switzerland. Michael joined HCA in 1991 and has served as chief financial officer at several different hospitals. Most recently he was Chief Financial Officer of Columbia/HCA's North Florida division which includes 14 hospitals and five freestanding ambulatory surgery centres. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration on healthcare, from the University of Dallas.

David G. Anderson is Senior Vice President – Finance and Treasurer for Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA, the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services. He is responsible for HCA’s treasury functions, including corporate finance, investment of benefit plans, cash management and ongoing relationships with the financial community. Anderson began his career with Humana Inc. as a manager of finance in 1978. By March of 1993, he was the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Galen Healthcare, a spin-off of Humana that was later acquired by HCA. Anderson assumed his current position in July 1998. An active member of the community, Anderson serves on the Board of Directors for Avenue Bank, Fifty Forward and Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. He also serves as Vice President of St. Luke’s Community House and is a past President of the Family & Children’s Service Board. Dr Michael Harding has been a Primary Care Physician in Central London for many years. He has a particular interest in research and advises grant-giving bodies in the field of medical research. Michael has practised as a physician with a wide range of interests. His original training was in paediatrics at the Department of Paediatrics at Cape Town University. He returned to England to work at the Central Middlesex Hospital before embarking on private medical practice. He retains a major interest in the doctor/patient relationship. He sits on a local research ethics committee and is an organiser for continual medical education for his own group of general practitioners.
