Davis was elected to the Board of Directors in March 2001. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of The Concorde Group, a private investment firm, since March 2001. Davis was the managing partner and head of banking and corporate finance for the Southwest division of Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly DLJ) from March 1984 to February 2001.

Steve joined Canaan in November 1991 as a General Partner, bringing a broad background in financing companies involved in manufacturing; retailing; radio, television, and cable broadcasting; and financial services. Steve began his career with GE in 1973 and held a variety of financial positions. From 1983 to 1991, he was with GE Venture Capital and GE Capital's Corporate Finance Group, providing debt and equity financing for start-up companies and leveraged buyouts. Steve is a graduate of Amherst College. He serves on the Boards of Directors of cMarket, Dean Foods, The Active Network, and Verance.

Mr. Tanner, 51, serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Dean Foods Company of Dallas, Texas. Before joining Dean Foods, Mr. Tanner had served in executive operations and supply chain positions with The Hershey Company, ConAgra Foods and Quaker Oats Company, with his most recent position being Senior Vice President Global Operations for The Hershey Company where he was responsible for purchasing, manufacturing, logistics and customer service.

Barbara is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Dean Foods. From May 2006 to January 2008 she served as the Corporate Vice President of Mobile Devices IT at Motorola. Prior to Motorola, Barbara served as Chief Information Officer of Diageo (formerly Guinness North America), responsible for leveraging technology as a key driver of organic growth for the company. Prior to joining Diageo, Barbara served as Senior IT Director at Nabisco. She started her technology career in 1987 as a programmer and analyst at Berlex Laboratories, a specialty pharmaceutical company. She later joined Automatic Data Processing (ADP) as a senior programmer, rising to Director, IT Project Management in 1996. While at ADP, Barbara completed her BS in business administration at Montclair State University. She serves on the Board of Directors for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and is also a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee, Audit Committee, and Compensation Committee. Barbara also is an active member of the Society for Information Management (SIM). She is very sought after as a speaker and has been featured in numerous publications, including Consumer Goods Technology, CIO Today and Computerworld.

Gregg Engles is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dean Foods Company (NYSE: DF), one of the nation's leading food and beverage companies, with reported revenues of more than $11 billion in 2007. Engles is considered to be the primary architect in the consolidation of the fragmented dairy industry and is responsible for transforming Dean Foods into the largest processor and distributor of milk in the United States. A lawyer by training, Engles chose never to practice law but instead decided to pursue entrepreneurship. His first significant endeavor was the purchase of Reddy Ice Group, a producer of packaged ice. This ultimately led him into the dairy industry and in 1993, Engles and his partners acquired Suiza Dairy in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The company became public in 1996 and five years later, Suiza Foods Corporation acquired Dean Foods Company and officially changed its name to Dean Foods Company. Engles was named Chairman when Howard Dean retired in April 2002. Engles currently serves on the board of directors of a number of charitable and industry organizations, including the Grocery Manufacturers of America, Southern Methodist University Tate Lecture Series, Dallas Citizens Council and TreeHouse Foods. He is also a member of Dartmouth President's Leadership Council, Dallas CEO Roundtable and the Young Presidents Organization. He received his Bachelor's Degree at Dartmouth College and his law degree at Yale University

Doreen A. Wright joined Conseco's board of directors in May 2007. From 2001 to 2008, Ms. Wright served as senior vice president and chief information officer of Campbell Soup Company. Prior to joining Campbell Soup Company, she was executive vice president and chief information officer at Nabisco, Inc. from 1999-2001. From 1995 through 1998, Wright was senior vice president, operations and systems for Prudential Insurance Company's Prudential Investment Group. From 1984 until 1994, Wright held various leadership positions at Bankers Trust Company as a managing director and senior vice president of numerous large-scale institutional customer service and technology groups. Wright earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979. She serves on the board of directors of The Riverside Symphonia, is a trustee of the Campbell Soup Foundation and previously served on the board of directors of The Yankee Candle Company.

Callahan joined Dean Foods in 2006 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From 1996 to 2006, he held a number of positions with PepsiCo and Frito-Lay, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development for PepsiCo and Chief Financial Officer for Frito-Lay International. Before joining PepsiCo, he held various positions at General Electric and McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Callahan, 50, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dean Foods. Dean Foods, a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, is the largest dairy beverage company in the U.S., with sales of approximately $12 billion. Mr. Callahan joined Dean Foods in May 2006. Before joining Dean Foods, Mr. Callahan held a number of positions with PepsiCo and Frito-Lay, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development for PepsiCo, Chief Financial Officer for Frito Lay International, and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning for Frito Lay North America. Before joining PepsiCo, Mr. Callahan held various positions at The General Electric Company and McKinsey & Company. Mr. Callahan holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

Fehr served as Chief Operating Officer of the Southeast Region from February 1998 through December 2005. He became Chief Operating Officer of the East Region in January 2006 after a regional realignment, and moved into his current role in November 2006. Prior to joining Suiza Foods in November 1996 as Vice President of Operations, he served in various capacities with The Morningstar Group, Inc. beginning in 1988.

William A. Swanston , age 54 , has served as one of our directors since October 2006. Mr. Swanston has held a number of executive level positions with Frito Lay, a division of PepsiCo, Inc., over the course of a 25 year PepsiCo career. Mr. Swanston has extensive strategy, supply chain and procurement experience. Mr. Swanston joined Dean Foods as Senior Vice President Business Transformation in August 2006, and is currently Chief Financial Officer of the DSD Dairy division of Dean Foods . The board of directors recommends a vote FOR each of the six nominees to our board of directors.

Duffin-Maxwell joined Dean Foods in 2008 as Executive Vice President, Research & Development. She brings 20 years of experience from Kraft Foods, most recently as Senior Vice President, Breakthrough Innovation, where she created original platforms to accelerate the growth of Kraft Foods. She has worked throughout the Kraft organization including in the Cheese, Convenient Meals and Grocery categories, as well as serving as Director, Basic Flavor and Ingredient Research for North America. She also worked in Germany for seven years, where she led R&D efforts on some of Europe's leading chocolate brands including Milka and Toblerone.

Moskowitz joined Dean Foods in June 2007 as Executive Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to this role, he served as Chief People Officer for Pizza Hut, a division of Yum! Brands. In addition to his tenure at Pizza Hut, Moskowitz served in various Human Resources roles with Yum! Brands, Darden Restaurants, Brinker International and Towers Perrin.

Kemps has full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the legal department. Kemps joined Dean Foods Company in February 2006 as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and became Executive Vice President in August 2008. Prior to joining Dean Foods, Kemps held various positions with Kimberly-Clark Corporation from 1997 to 2006. From 1993 to 1997, he was an associate attorney with Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, and from 1991 to 1993, he served as a law clerk to Judge Paul A. Magnuson of the United States District Court, Minnesota.

Nevares was elected to the Board of Directors in 1994. He was President of Suiza Dairy (Puerto Rico) from June 1983 until September 1996, having served in additional executive capacities at Suiza Dairy (Puerto Rico) since June 1974. He served as a consultant for Suiza Foods from March 1998 until April 2000.

Ronald Kirk , 53, is a partner in the law firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP, joining the firm in February 2005. Previously, Mr. Kirk was a partner in the law firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell, L.L.P. from 2001 until 2005 and served as the Mayor of the City of Dallas from 1995 until 2001. Mr. Kirk also serves on the Board of Directors for Dean Foods Company and PetSmart, Inc. Mr. Kirk has served on the Board of Directors since 1997 and is a member of the Executive and Governance and Nominating Committees of the Company.

Derek has been an active member of the American Marketing Association since college, when he created the Boston Chapter's first stand-alone web site. He has since served the Boston Chapter as Vice President of Online Communications, President-Elect, President, and Past-President/Advisor. Derek is currently the Northeast Marketing Manager for Dean Foods, the largest dairy company in the United States. His previous consumer marketing experience includes positions with Garelick Farms and entrepreneurial venture MEDport/The Ocean Group, as well as a variety of freelance projects, including assisting local musicians and artists promote themselves. In addition, he has experience in business-to-business marketing through his role as Marketing Manager at Mech-Chem Associates and Donnelly & Duncan Advertising. In addition to his continued involvement with the Boston Chapter of the AMA, he is also a member of the Rhode Island AMA Chapter, serves on the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk Committee, and is an active member of Boston Chapter of Fast Company magazine's Company of Friends. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he was the first graduate of the school's Honors program, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Marketing and a concentration in Leadership Studies. He remains active in alumni affairs with Johnson & Wales University. Derek also enjoys the opportunity to share experiences and ideas with college and high school students, having spoken in classes at Boston University, Boston College, Rhode Island School of Design, Stonehill College, Emerson College, Clark University, and Johnson & Wales. When not doing all of the above, he enjoys fulfilling his duties as a Kansas City Barbecue Society-certified barbecue judge, cheering on his beloved New England sports teams, keeping up with the strange but fascinating world of pop culture, traveling, developing the next great business idea (which he thinks he just might have), writing in his blog, and listening to an almost unnaturally wide range of music.

John is a member of the Delavan-Darien Rotary Club. He served as a centennial club president from 2004-2005. He is a native of Waukesha, WI, the older of identical twins (by three minutes). John is a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force where he served as a pilot and commander for 30 years. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and holds an M.A. in Management from Webster University. John is a manager for the Alder Group, Inc. in Delavan, WI. The Alder Group is a milk/dairy products distributor for Dean Foods, a national Dairy Company. He is a member of the board of directors of the Delavan-Delavan Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and serves on the City of Delavan Police and Fire Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. John is also an Elder at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church and teaches adult Sunday school. He has been married to his wife, Janis (a former Air Force and Navy Nurse) for 24 years. They have three children, John Robert (18), a freshman at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI; Andrew (17), a senior at Delavan Darien High School and Anne Marie (13) an eighth grader at Delavan Christian School.

Ms. Cary joined La Quinta in 2006 and oversees the Company's marketing initiatives, planning and analysis. She has more than 20 years of increasing responsibility in brand management, marketing and innovation with consumer companies such as Brinker International, Dean Foods, Gerber Products Company and Ralston Purina. Ms. Cary holds a M.B.A. from Washington University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.

Joseph S. Hardin , Jr., age 61, has been a Director of PetSmart since September 2005. From 1997 until his retirement in 2001, Mr. Hardin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinko s, Inc. From 1986 to April 1997 he served in several executive positions in increasing responsibility at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., ultimately as Executive Vice President and as President and Chief Executive Officer of SAM s Club, the wholesale division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Mr. Hardin serves on the boards of American Greetings Corporation and Dean Foods Company.
