Delta Petroleum Company was started in 1946 in Metairie, Louisiana, and has grown to become one of the largest independent lubricant manufacturers in North America. By the mid 70's, they had expanded their services to handling both lubricants and chemicals. In 1984 they built another plant in Denver, Colorado to service the lubricant and chemical business in the Midwest.
