Dr. James Langabeer is a faculty member in Boston University's Administrative Sciences department, MET. He teaches courses on international strategy and supply chain management. He is also the Executive Vice President at Demantra Inc, the leading provider of integrated marketing and supply chain planning and optimization solutions. Prior to joining Demantra, Professor Langabeer taught Business Strategy at the University of Houston, and has worked for over a decade managing international supply chains with Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Langabeer's doctoral research at the University of Houston focused on business strategy and financial performance in turbulent markets. He also holds an MBA from Baylor University, and a BBA from the U of Texas. He has written more than 20 journal articles and three books, including Competitive Business Strategy for Teaching Hospitals (Quorum Books, 2000) and Creating Demand Driven Supply Chains (Chandos Publishing, 2001). His current research interest is on supply chain optimization and mergers and acquisitions.
