President and CEO of Denbury Resources Inc. Gareth Roberts has been President, Chief Executive Officer and a director since 1992. Mr. Roberts founded Denbury Management, Inc., the former primary operating subsidiary of the Company in April 1990. Mr. Roberts has more than 30 years of experience in the exploration and development of oil and natural gas properties with Texaco, Inc., Murphy Oil Corporation and Coho Resources, Inc. His expertise is particularly focused in the Gulf Coast region where he specializes in the acquisition and development of old fields with low productivity. Mr. Roberts holds honors and masters degrees from St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University, where he has been elected to an Honorary Fellowship. Mr. Roberts also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Genesis Energy, L.P., a public master limited partnership.

Phil Rykhoek is Chief Executive Officer of Denbury. Mr. Rykhoek served as Sr. VP and CFO until June 30, 2009. Before joining us in June 1995, he was co-founder and an executive officer of Petroleum Financial, Inc. ("PFI"), a private company formed in May 1991 to provide accounting, financial, and management services on a contract basis to other entities. While at PFI, Mr. Rykhoek was also an officer of Amerac Energy Corporation, where he had been employed in various positions for eight years, most recently as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Rykhoek also serves as a director of Genesis Energy, L.P.
Ray Dubuisson is Vice President - Legal, of Denbury. He joined us in July 2002. Prior to joining Denbury, Mr. Dubuisson was a practicing oil and gas attorney in the Houston area primarily involved in exploration and production transaction work, preparation of title opinions, and negotiation and preparation of acquisition and divestiture agreements. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, and has previously served as Vice President of Land for Weber Energy Corporation and Quanah Petroleum in Dallas, as Gulf Coast District Land Manager for Aminoil in Houston, and as Landman for Chevron in New Orleans.
Ronald T. Evans, President & Chief Operating Officer, is a registered Professional Engineer who joined us in September 1999. Mr. Evans served as Sr. VP - Reservoir Engineering until June 30, 2009. Before joining Denbury, he was employed as a manager with Matador Petroleum Corporation for 3 years and employed by Enserch Exploration, Inc. for 12 years in various positions. Mr. Evans received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1984 and his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1995. Mr. Evans also serves as a director of Genesis Energy, L.P.

Mr. Alan Rhoades, a Certified Public Accountant, joined Denbury in July 2003. Before joining Denbury, Mr. Rhoades was Assistant Controller for Amerada Hess Corporation from 2001 to 2003, and held that same position for Triton Energy Limited from 1996 until it was acquired by Amerada Hess Corporation in 2001. Prior to joining Triton Energy Limited, Mr. Rhoades was a manager in the accounting firm of KPMG LLP.
Mark C. Allen, a Certified Public Accountant, is Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Allen served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer until June 30, 2009. Before joining us in April 1999, he was Manager of Financial Reporting for ENSCO International Incorporated from November 1996 to April 1999. Prior to November 1996, Mr. Allen was a manager in the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse LLP.
Robert Cornelius, Senior Vice President of Operations joined us in September 2006. Before joining Denbury, he was employed with J.M. Huber Corporation for 24 years in various positions, of which the last 10 years he was Vice President Mid-Continent Operations with responsibilities for operations, asset acquisitions, property development and exploitation. Prior to J.M. Huber Corporation, Mr. Cornelius was employed by Cities Service Company for 5 years in various operations, production and reservoir engineering positions. Mr. Cornelius received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas in 1977.

Jerome C. Ballard, Sr. , Vice President, Human Resources, joined us in July 2008. Prior to joining Denbury, Mr. Ballard was the Sr. Vice President of People at Tire Centers, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Michelin Corporation from June 2005 to June 2008. Prior to June 2005, Mr. Ballard was a Vice President of Human Resources for the ServiceMaster Corporation. Mr. Ballard received his B.A. from Mt. St. Mary College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami.
William P. Catanese has worked in the oil and gas exploration business for the past 26 years. His area of expertise has been the offshore Gulf of Mexico, where his geological and geophysical analyses have led to the production of approximately 350 BCF of natural gas and 16 MMB of oil. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Geology from Long Island University in 1978. As an Exploitation Geologist working Kerr McGee properties in the shallow and deep water Gulf of Mexico. He drilled 26 wells, completing 21 of them, adding 250 BCF and 16 MMB. In 1997, Mr. Catanese went to work for Barrett Resources as an Exploitation Geologist. The 2 years there were spent working a 25 block acquisition from Pendleton Resources and drilling 3 successful wells. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Catanese worked for Newfield Exploration in their Acquisition and Development group. While there he drilled 19 successful wells with an estimated EUR of 84 BCF, as well as being the key geologist in the Acquisition of Denbury Resources (64 BCF). Mr. Catanese is an active member of The American Association of Petroleum Geologists and The Houston Geological Society.

Randy I. Stein . Mr. Stein has served as a director and the chair of our Audit Committee since July 2004. Mr. Stein is a self-employed tax, accounting and general business consultant. Since January 2005, Mr. Stein has served as a director and chairman of the audit committee of Denbury Resources Inc., a publicly traded exploration and production company. From 2001 through 2005, Mr. Stein served as a director of Koala Corporation, a publicly traded company engaged in the design, production and marketing of family convenience products, where he served on the audit and compensation committees. From July 2000 until its sale in June 2004, Mr. Stein was a director and chair of the audit committee of Westport Resources Corporation, a publicly traded exploration and production company. "Ronald G. Greene has been a director of Denbury since 1995 and also served as Chairman of the Board until May 2008. Mr. Greene was the founder and served as Chairman of the board of directors of Renaissance Energy Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance from its inception in 1974 until May 1990, and remained as Chairman until Renaissance was merged with Husky Oil Operations to create Husky Energy, Inc. in August 2000. He is also the principal stockholder, officer and director of Tortuga Investment Corp., a private investment company and serves on the Board of Directors of WestJet Airlines Ltd., a public Canadian scheduled airline. Mr. Greene has served on the boards of several public and private companies, as well as industry organizations and community and international charitable organizations.
