Mr. Watson has been a director since BioMimetic's inception. Mr. Watson's career spanned 33 years with Geigy/Ciba-Geigy/Novartis, in a variety of positions in the UK, Switzerland and the United States. From 1986 to 1996, he was president of Ciba Pharmaceuticals Division and was appointed president and chief executive officer of Ciba-Geigy Corporation in 1996. Mr. Watson became president and chief executive officer of Novartis Corporation in 1997 when the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz was approved by the FTC. In May 1999, Mr. Watson elected to take early retirement from Novartis. That same year he founded Pittencrieff Glen Associates, a private management consulting company. In addition to BioMimetic, he has served as the chairman of OraSure Technologies Inc. since March 2003 and as a director since April 2002. He has served as the chairman of Innovative Drug Delivery Systems Inc. since June 2003 and as a director since March 2001. He currently serves as a director on the boards of Engelhard Corporation since 1991, Dendreon Corporation since March 2000, Genta Inc. since April 2002, BioElectronics Inc. since November 2002 and InforMedix Inc. since March 2002. From July 2000 to September 2001, he also served as a member of the board and acting chief executive officer of ValiGen N.V. He is also a member of the President's Advisory Board of Drew University. Mr. Watson holds an M.A. degree in pure mathematics from Churchill College, Cambridge University, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Douglas G. Watson is the founder of Pittencrieff Glen Associates, which was established in June, 1999. Prior to this, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Corporation, the US subsidiary of Novartis A.G. Mr. Watson's career spanned 33 years with Geigy / Ciba-Geigy / Novartis. He joined Geigy (UK) Ltd in 1966, working first in Operations Research and then in Corporate Planning. Following the Ciba-Geigy merger, he spent one year in Basel , Switzerland as the UK representative to an international integration team. He returned to the UK in 1973 as accounting development and investment appraisal manager, and subsequently headquarters management accountant. In 1978, Doug returned to Basel as personal assistant to the Chairman of the Executive Committee. In 1981, he joined the US Pharmaceuticals Division as senior vice president of planning and business development, and a member of the Pharmaceuticals Management Committee. From 1986, he was President of Ciba Pharmaceuticals Division until 1996, when he was appointed President & CEO of Ciba-Geigy Corporation. During this ten year period, Mr. Watson was an active member of the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers Association (PhRMA) board in Washington , DC . Mr. Watson became President & CEO of Novartis Corporation in 1997 when Ciba-Geigy & Sandoz merged. Mr Watson elected to take early retirement from Novartis in May, 1999. Mr. Watson, in addition, is Chairman of the board of OraSure Technologies Inc., and serves as a member of the board of directors for Engelhard Corporation, Genta Inc., Dendreon Corporation, BZL Biologics Inc., BioMimetic Pharmaceuticals Inc., BioElectronics Inc., InforMedix, Inc., and Innovative Drug Delivery Systems Inc. Prior board memberships include Novartis Corporation, Summit Bank Corporation, Principia Pharmaceuticals Inc., and ValiGen N.V. He has been a supporter of America 's Promise since its inception, and is chairman of the Freedom House Foundation, a non-profit organisation which treats adult men & women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Liver Foundation, and on the President's Advisory Council of Drew University . Born near Pittencrieff Glen in the city of Dunfermline, Scotland, Mr. Watson holds an MA degree in pure mathematics from Churchill College, Cambridge University, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Dr. Gold joined Dendreon in 2001 as the vice president of business development. He subsequently was appointed a director in 2002 and was named the chief executive officer of the Company in 2003. Dr. Gold has led the Companya s corporate development, acquisition and financing efforts in recent years, completing transactions valued at approximately $225 million, including the acquisition of Corvas International, and raising approximately $350 million in capital. Prior to joining Dendreon, he served as the vice president of business development for Data Critical Corporation, a company engaged in wireless transmission of critical healthcare data, now a division of GE Medical. He also served as the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Elixis Corporation, a medical information systems company. Dr. Gold is a former urologist at the University of Washington and currently serves on the boards of the University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Prostate Cancer Institute and the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association. Dr. Gold received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his M.D. from Rush Medical College in Chicago.

Dr. Urdal has served as Dendreon's chief scientific officer since 1995. Prior to joining Dendreon, he held various positions with Immunex Corporation, including president of Immunex Manufacturing Corporation, vice president and director of development, and head of the departments of biochemistry and membrane biochemistry. At Immunex, Dr. Urdal participated in the discovery, development and commercialization of hematopoietic growth factors, cytokines and cytokine receptors, such as GM-CSF (Leukine) and TNF-receptor (Enbrel). Dr. Urdal has served as a director of Dendreon since 1995 and also serves as director for Ore Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Urdal received his M.S. in Public Health and his Ph.D. in Biochemical Oncology from the University of Washington.

Mr. Schiffman joined Dendreon from Affymetrix Inc., where he served as the CFO and executive vice president. Prior to Affymetrix, Mr. Schiffman was the vice president and controller for Applied Biosystems where he managed a 200-person global finance team spanning more than 20 countries. Prior to entering the biotechnology field, he served for over 10 years in various domestic and international divisions of Hewlett Packard, ultimately serving as a divisional manufacturing manager and controller. Prior to Hewlett Packard, he also held positions at IBM. He currently serves on the board of directors of Nanomix and Venus Medical Technologies. Mr. Schiffman holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and a B.S. degree in accounting from DePaul University.

Mark Frohlich, M.D., joined Dendreon in 2005 and was promoted to the position of senior vice president of clinical affairs and chief medical officer in 2007. He previously oversaw medical affairs at Xcyte Therapies. Prior to that was an assistant professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, where he specialized in urologic oncology and was active in laboratory, translational and clinical research. Dr. Frohlich received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and did his post doctoral training in oncology at the University of California, San Francisco. He also has a B.S. from Yale in electrical engineering and economics.

Heidi M. Hagen is Vice President of Supply Operations at Dendreon Corporation with headquarters located in Seattle, Washington and manufacturing located in Morristown, New Jersey. Dendreon is a biotechnology company focused on targeting cancer to transform lives and is developing a new class of therapy known as Active Cellular Immunotherapies (ACIs). The lead ACI being developed is ProvengeTM (siupleucel-T), it is a product for late stage prostate cancer and is manufactured for each individual patient from a collection of their white blood cells. At Dendreon, Heidi is responsible for patient scheduling, procurement, transportation, production planning, supply operations, distribution, and corporate project management. Prior to her appointment as Vice President, Heidi was the Project Leader for Provenge and Senior Director Call Center Operations and was responsible for ensuring the completion of all operational aspects of the Provenge BLA, filed in November 2006.Prior to joining Dendreon, Heidi worked at Immunex for 10 years and most recently was responsible for Strategic Planning of the Corporate Supply Operations division. During that time she held various positions in research, drug development project management, supply operations, and finance. Prior to joining Immunex, Heidi worked at Quinton Instrument Company, a world leader in catheter production and heart monitoring devices. She completed her graduate thesis as a research fellow in Quinton's bioengineering group. Heidi received her BS degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, MS degree in Bioengineering, and her MBA from the University of Washington.

Caggiano joins Dendreon from Abbott Laboratories where he served as vice president, U.S. Sales and Marketing of the Abbott Vascular Devices division and was responsible for all aspects of U.S. commercial operations. While at Abbott, he led a 170 person sales organization and coordinated all pre-launch and launch activities. Previously, Caggiano spent 11 years at TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. in various sales and marketing positions where he most recently led marketing operations for Lupron®, a prostate cancer treatment with annual U.S. sales approaching $1 billion.

Staley spent the last 13 years at Cardinal Health, Inc.'s Nuclear Pharmacy Division where she was most recently executive director, pharmacy services liaison, information technologies. At Cardinal Health, Staley directed a staff of 143 and was responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy for reorganizing the information technology infrastructure, reducing overall expenses by 21 percent. Before joining Cardinal Health in 1990, Staley was chief nuclear medicine technologist / radiation safety officer at Montgomery Cardiovascular Associates where she directed the development of a new Nuclear Cardiology Department.

Bogdan Dziurzynski D.P.A., R.A.C. Dr. Dziurzynski is a regulatory management consultant to the biotechnology industry and a member of the Board of Directors of Dendreon Corporation, a biotechnology company in Seattle, WA that targets cancer. He is currently the President-Elect of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, which creates and upholds standards of ethics, credentialing and education for the regulatory affairs profession within the health product sector and representing 10,000 individuals worldwide from governments, corporations, academia, research and nonprofit organizations. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Biologics Consulting Group, Inc. in Alexandria, VA. and the Virginia Premiere Theatre, a non-profit company performing in Williamsburg, Virginia. He possesses over thirty years experience in strategic planning and regulatory management including clinical research design and execution, biopharmaceutical product development and manufacture, production facility design and validation, product advertising and promotion, post-market drug safety surveillance, quality assurance and quality control. He served as a senior vice-president with MedImmune, Inc., vice-president with Immunex Corporation and has held management positions with Genetic Systems, Inc., C.R. Bard, Inc., and Johnson and Johnson?s Ortho Diagnostics Division. He holds a doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, an MBA in Marketing and Business Management Seattle University, and undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Laboratory Technology.

Mr. Watson is Chief Executive Officer of Pittencrieff Glen Associates, a consulting firm that he founded in July 1999. From January 1997 to May 1999, Mr. Watson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Novartis AG. From April 1996 to December 1996, Mr. Watson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ciba-Geigy Corporation, which merged into Novartis Corporation in December 1996. Mr. Watson s career spanned 33 years with Novartis, having joined Geigy (UK) Ltd. in 1966. Mr. Watson also currently serves as chairman of OraSure Technologies, Inc., a medical diagnostics company, chairman of Javelin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a pharmaceutical company, and as a director of Genta Incorporated, a biopharmaceutical company, and BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc., a pharmaceutical company. Mr. Watson received an M.A. in Pure Mathematics from Churchill College, Cambridge University and holds an ACMA qualification as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

M. Blake Ingle, Ph.D., age 65, has served as one of our directors since our acquisition of Corvas in July 2003. Prior to that, Dr. Ingle had served as Chairman of Corvas since June 1999 and as a director of Corvas since January 1994. Since 1998, Dr. Ingle has been a general partner of Inglewood Ventures, a venture capital firm. From March 1993 to February 1996 when it was acquired by Schering-Plough, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Canji, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company. From 1980 to 1993, he was employed in a variety of capacities with the IMCERA Group, Inc., a healthcare company consisting of Mallinckrodt Medical, Mallinckrodt Specialty Chemicals and Pitman Moore, last serving as President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Ingle currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bridgetech Holdings International, Inc , a China-based medical technology company.
