Founded in 1949 and headquartered in Kariya, Aichi, Japan, Denso Corporation (Pink Sheets: DNZOY (ADR) Exchange) manufactures auto parts and components. The company makes air conditioners, spark plugs, antilock brake system controls, and windshield wipers for vehicles, and electronic toll collection systems for roadway operators. The company has annual revenues of about $26 billion and employs about 104,200 people. In August 2005the company acquired additional shares of Shimizu Industry Co., Ltd., increasing its ownership of Shimizu from 26 percent to 51 percent.
