Peg Burnette, CPA, is chief financial officer for Denver Health and Hospital Authority. She has 17 years of experience in healthcare finance including positions as CFO and associate CFO/Controller at Denver Health, and previous positions in financial management at National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Kaiser Permanente and Myers & Stauffer, CPAs. Peg is a certified public accountant with a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Kansas. She has been active in the Colorado Healthcare Financial Management Association since 1992 and serves on its board. She is also a Senior Policy Fellow with the National Association of Public Hospitals.

Tamara is Chief Resident of Psychiatry at Denver Health. She obtained her Medical Degree at Weill Medical College, Cornell University. As a consumer and family member she has powerful personal experience with the ravages of mental illness and accompanying stigma. She is a proponent of family education and support to alleviate the suffering of persons impacted with mental illness, and is particularly passionate about destigmatizing mental illness.

Dr. Philip Mehler is a nationally recognized expert in the field of medical complications of anorexia nervosa and bulimia. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, has published more than 150 manuscripts and has been recognized as Denver's top internist in the 5280 Magazine annual survey. He holds the Glassman Professorship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, which is the first endowed Internal Medicine Professorship at a public hospital in the United States. In addition, Dr. Mehler is currently the Associate Medical Director at Denver Health.

Jake Allen is currently the Manager of Government Relations for Denver Health and Hospital Authority, where he is responsible for the organization's state lobbying efforts and assists with the federal and local government relations efforts. Prior to joining Denver Health, Allen was the Executive Director of the Colorado Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. Allen served as a legislative assistant to two members of Congress from 2003-2007. He began his work on Capitol Hill with Congressman Scott McInnis (CO-03) before moving to the office of Congressman Bob Beauprez (CO-07) upon McInnis' retirement in 2004. Both members sat on the influential Ways and Means committee, charged with oversight of health care, human resources, taxes, trade and social security policy. Allen resides in Denver's Washington Park neighborhood with his wife, Brooke and their two dogs, Lucy and Sam.

Pete Gutierrez is Service Line Administrator for the primary care division of Denver Health known as Denver Community Health Services (DCHS.) In this capacity, Pete has operational responsibilities as provided by 650 employees serving over 100,000 patients annually. Pete led the project to convert the scheduling system to Advanced Access Scheduling in all DCHS teams at 10 sites by the end of 2003. This process improvement redesign fundamentally changed the way patients access healthcare through approximately 350,000 annual encounters in DCHS. The "PDSA" model for improvement and the Idealized Design of Clinical Office Practice (IDCOP) were the guiding principles for the implementation of Dr. Mark Murray's concept of "Open Access" scheduling now commonly known as "Advanced Access." Prior to working with Denver Health, Pete was Director of Patient Services at People's Clinic in Boulder and served as administrator of two private group practices. Prior to these 17 years in operations, Pete received a Bachelors degree from the University of Florida.

Sandi Vannice is a registered nurse with 25 years of experience in various nursing roles within the specialty of oncology. She is currently the Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist at Denver Health where she provides leadership to the staff of the out-patient infusion center, oncology clinical trials program and the cancer resource center. She also provides education and consultation to the in-patient nursing staff related to care of the oncology patient.

David currently serves on the boards of the American Transplant Foundation, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Denver Police Activities League, Denver Health Foundation, National Association of Specialty Health Organizations, Friends of the Denver Fire Department, and the Metro Denver Sports Commission. His past board memberships include the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, Denver Press Club, and Denver Metro Chamber Foundation. David was recognized with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce's M. Doak Jacoway Volunteer of the Year Award in 2003. Governor Bill Owens proclaimed June 16, 2005 as "David McReynolds Day" in Colorado for his work in passing landmark legislation and making a difference in the lives of young people in the state. David joined the Denver Health Foundation's Board of Directors in 1998 and was elected Chairman of the Board in April, 2008.

Ann says the areas of passion for her are cancer, emergency services, and programs and services for women. "I also look forward to learning more about the current challenges facing healthcare providers." As senior vice president of in-flight and administrative services for Frontier Airlines, Ann has nearly 30 years of experience in human resources, general management and customer service. Prior to joining Frontier in 1999, she spent the majority of her career working for Public Service Company of Colorado, now Xcel Energy. A native Coloradan, she and her husband, Woody, are the parents of two grown daughters, Lisa and Katie.

Executive vice president of the company and president and chief executive officer of Vectra Bank Colorado, Bruce K. Alexander has been an officer since 2000. Prior to joining Zions, he served as the executive director of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority from 1999 to 2000. During this time he was also an executive vice president of Bank One from 1997 to 2000. He joined Vectra Bank Colorado in March 2000. Alexander has also served on the board of regents of National Bank. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Denver Health, the largest provider of indigent care in Denver, as well as a member of the board for Denver’s Land Use and Transportation Advisory Council. Alexander is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Caroline (Caz) Matthews has served as a director of Perot Systems since December 2008. Ms. Matthews has served as President of WellPoint Foundation and as Vice President-Social Responsibility of WellPoint, Inc. since September 2006. Ms. Matthews has served as a director of Qwest Communications International, Inc. since December 2005. Ms. Matthews has also served as a director of the Denver Health and Hospital Authority since July 2007. From December 2004 until September 2006, Ms. Matthews was President of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Georgia. From January 2000 until December 2005, Ms. Matthews served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the West Region of Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Age 49.
