As chief quality officer for Detroit Diesel (DDC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, John Galbraith is responsible for all Quality, Materials Engineering, Reliability and Vendor Recovery activities for the company. He also serves on DDC's executive committee, the company's senior policy-making group. Galbraith joined Detroit Diesel in May 2004 as the director of Warranty Improvement. He has extensive industry experience, including 15 years with Cummins Engine Company, Inc. Between 2002 and 2004 he was responsible for Reliability Improvement for Cummins Heavy Duty Business, leading a group of Six Sigma Black Belts generating a 10 percent annualized reduction in warranty expenditure. Additionally, he was a recipient of the 2003 Chairman's Award for Six Sigma Excellence for his sponsorship of a project resulting in $9.5 million of savings.

Bernard Bentgen, Vice President of Marine Sales, entered into his current assignment in July of 2003. The Marine group is responsible for managing sales and application engineering in the Commercial Marine, Recreational Marine and Marine Genset markets. Bernard also oversees the North American Marine Defense market.
As vice president Procurement for Detroit Diesel (DDC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, Chris Ellswood is responsible for the procurement of direct and indirect products and services. He reports through the Commercial Vehicle Procurement organization (PCV) with central offices located in Stuttgart, Germany, as well as directly to DDC's Carsten Reinhardt, Chief Executive Officer and President. Ellswood also serves on the DDC Executive Committee, the company's senior policy-making group.

David Oliphant is Vice President for the Power Generation and Oil & Gas markets. David began his career at the Detroit Diesel Training Center in 1992 as a product trainer teaching Series 60 overhaul and DDEC electronics courses. David then moved to the sales department where he held positions in both the OEM and Regional Field groups. David took on his current assignment for the PowerGen market in 2001, managing the sales and application engineering functions for product sold in the electrical generation market, in the form of both loose engines and complete generator systems. Responsibility for the Oil & Gas market was added in 2003.
Dave Sears, Vice President of Customer Assurance, has been with the company for over 25 years. Dave's experience ranges from product technical service at the beginning of his career, to the initial release of the Series 60 engine and OEM key account sales management for Detroit Diesel Corporation's On-Highway business. He also spent several years in a program management role for the Off-Highway small engine business. In his current assignment, Dave is responsible for product technical support, parts sales and logistics, engine remanufacturing, large engine support for the marine defense business, warranty administration and product training.
George Polson, Vice President of Sales Integration, has been with the company over 35 years. George began his career at Detroit Diesel running the emission certification testing in the early days of the EPA program. Since then, he has been involved with product development, emission certification, facility planning, application engineering and program management. He has spent over 15 years supporting the mining business involved in engineering, customer support and sales. His current assignment supports the Off-Highway sales functions of MTU Detroit Diesel, including management of the distributor organization, marketing, product management, order processing and delivery. George is a graduate mechanical engineer.
