We are a medical device company focused on the design, development and commercialization of continuous glucose monitoring systems for ambulatory use by people with diabetes and for use by healthcare providers in the hospital for the treatment of both diabetic and non-diabetic patients. On March 24, 2006, we received approval from the FDA for our first product, the STS ® , designed for up to three days of continuous use. On May 31, 2007, we received approval from the FDA for our second generation continuous glucose monitoring system, the SEVEN ® , designed for up to seven days of continuous use, and we began commercializing this product in the third quarter of 2007. As part of our commercialization of the SEVEN, we discontinued sales of our STS three day durable system in the second quarter of 2007 and discontinued the sale of our three day sensors during the second quarter of 2008. On February 13, 2009, we received approval from the FDA for our third generation continuous glucose monitoring system, the SEVEN PLUS, which is also designed for up to seven days of continuous use, and we began commercializing this product in the first quarter of 2009. Steven J. Kemper is Chief Financial Officer of DexCom, Inc. Mr. Kemper has over 20 years of experience in the financial and operational management of both Fortune 100 and emerging growth companies in the high technology, healthcare, telecommunications and consumer product industries. Claudia Graham joined DexCom as its Vice President of Marketing in September 2008. Globally recognized as a thought leader in access to diabetes technologies, Claudia is responsible for all product development and commercial marketing activities within DexCom, and is a key liaison with DexCom's co-development partnerships. Jim Brauker is Vice President of Research and Development, managing all aspects of development for the DexCom Long-Term Continuous Glucose Monitor. Dr. Brauker is internationally recognized as a leader in the fields of biomaterials, healing and cellular transplantation, and is the Past President residing on the board of the Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation. Prior to joining DexCom, Jim provided technical development leadership for the medical products division of W. L. Gore and Associates. Peter Gerhardsson joined DexCom as its Vice President of International Business Development in September 2008. For almost thirty years, Mr. Gerhardsson has worked within the pharmaceutical and medical technology business sector. He has extensive experience with diabetes therapies. Mr. Gerhardsson is responsible for developing DexCom's markets outside of the United States. From 1980 to 2000, Mr. Gerhardsson held various sales and marketing roles for Novo Nordisk, including several senior management positions. From 1991 through 1993, Mr. Gerhardsson led the Far East business for Novo Nordisk, managing its fast-growing presence in China, India, South Korea and the Southeast Asian countries. From 1994 - 2000, he was the Managing Director of the Swedish affiliate. After joining MiniMed in 2000, Mr. Gerhardsson was responsible for operations in the Nordic countries, and later was responsible for all European diabetes business units with Medtronic. Brent Ahrens joined the firm in 1999 and focuses on investments in healthcare companies. He actively assists portfolio companies in evaluating new products strategies, financing approaches, business development opportunities and intellectual property enhancement. Brent's past and present company involvement includes Cerexa (FRX), Coapt Systems, CoAxia, DexCom (DXCM), Novare Surgical, Pavad Medical, Peninsula Pharmaceuticals (JNJ), Relievant Medsystems, Revivant (ZOLL) and Transoma Medical. He is also a Professional Engineer with a number of patents related to medical technologies. Brent is also an alumni of the Kauffman Fellows Program. Recently, Brent was included in the 2006 Midas List, a prominent venture capital listing which ranks the best dealmakers in high-tech and life sciences.

Jack Lord, M.D., joined Humana in 2000 to help develop the company's consumer-centric business strategy. In his role as Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Lord is responsible for designing innovative health plan products and leading processes that enable people to navigate the healthcare system and support their health needs. In 2006, Dr. Lord began leading Humana's efforts to establish Humana Europe. With more than 20 years in medical administration, he came to Humana from Health Dialog, where he served as president and became a leader in e-enabled healthcare. Prior to joining Health Dialog, he served as chief operating officer of the American Hospital Association in Washington, D.C., executive vice president of Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD, and executive vice president of Sun Health in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Lord currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Director of the CDC, the National Biosurveillance Committee, and the World Economic Forums Global Agenda Council on Chronic Disease and Malnutrition. He is also a director for Stericycle (SRCL) and Dexcom (DXCM). Dr. Lord received his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1978. He has held multiple academic appointments including most recently Adjunct Professor of Community Medicine at the Dartmouth Medical School.

Jonathan T. Lord, M.D. has served as a director since August 2004. Dr. Lord is chief innovation officer/senior vice president at Humana Inc., a health benefits company, which he joined in April 2000. From October 1999 to April 2000, Dr. Lord served as president of Health Dialog, a health information provider, and from April 1997 to October 1999, he served as chief operating officer of the American Hospital Association, a national organization representing hospitals, health care networks and their patients. Dr. Lord received a B.S. degree in chemistry and a M.D. degree from the University of Miami. John Patience has served as a director since our incorporation in March 1989. He is a co-founder and partner of Crabtree Partners LLC, a private investment firm in Lake Forest, Illinois, which was formed in June 1995. From January 1988 to March 1995, Mr. Patience was a general partner of a venture capital firm that he co-founded which led our initial capitalization.
