Douglas Welday brings to the DFCU Financial Supervisory Committee more than 20 years of diverse experience as a Financial Consultant, Corporate Controller, Director of Finance, and Chief Operating Officer. Today he is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Oakwood Healthcare, Inc. Welday joined the Supervisory Committee in 2006 and has a vast knowledge of overseeing all of the financial management functions of the Oakwood Healthcare System including budget and finance, accounting, internal audit, treasury, revenue management functions, third party payor contractual agreements and legal affairs. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities as Oakwooda s Chief Financial Officer, Welday was responsible for the overall operations management of Oakwood Healthcare Systems 615-bed flagship facility in Dearborn, Michigan. Operations oversight included all aspects of the hospitals clinical and support services activities. Additionally, the position was accountable for the development and implementation of quality and service improvement initiatives and the oversight of the hospitala s $120 million new operating room and healthcare building which opened in the fall of 2005. Welday received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Additional professional affiliations include: American Association of Certified Public Accounts, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, Health Care Financial Management Association and Michigan Healthcare Executive Group and Associates. Welday also has his CPA license and Nursing Home Administrator certificate.

Dr. Robert Chapmana s experience as a Medical Director of the Josephine Ford Cancer Center (JFCC) and as head of Henry Ford Hospitala s Medical Oncology Division make him an insightful and visionary leader of the DFCU Financial Board of Directors. Exceptional and outstanding satisfaction is one of the key elements that Dr. Chapman applies to both his role as Medical Director for Josephine Ford Cancer Center (which has been listed among the nationa s top 50 in U.S. News and World Report since 1999), and as Chairman of the Board for DFCU Financial.

When she is not working, Kirsten enjoys community theater with her husband and daughter, horseback riding and agility training with her Shetland Sheepdog, Belle.

Teri attended Eastern Michigan University and continues her education related to the mortgage industry by attending numerous seminars and classes. She is a member of the Down River Association of Realtors and serves on their Community Outreach committee. When not enjoying the company of her husband and children, Teri enjoys volunteer work in her community and church. She also enjoys golf.

Meet Brian Mell, DFCU Financial Partners Financial Consultant, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERa professional, and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. Brian can use his skills to assist you as you decide the best way to grow and protect your assets. Brian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University and also completed the personal financial planning program through Oakland University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERa certificant. He is registered and holds his Series 7, 65, and 6, licenses through CFS. NASDA licenses are held in MI, FL, VA and IA.A A Additionally, Brian hold his Life and Variable Contracts licenses with the State of Michigan. Brian received his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Charles McQueen founded McQueen Financial Advisors in 1999 to provide specialized services to credit unions and other financial institutions. McQueen brings to the DFCU Financial Board of Directors more than 14 years of experience serving as a portfolio manager, asset liability management consultant and strategic consultant to financial institutions of all kinds. Today, his company advises more than 75 clients and manages investment portfolios with a combined value of more than $1 billion. McQueen is a frequent speaker at credit union and other financial conferences and has provided training and board education on investments, Asset/Liability Management, mortgage servicing rights valuations, branch valuations, asset sales and strategic planning. In addition, McQueen provides educational training to several CPA firms. He is a frequent presenter to credit union and other boards of directors, attending well over 1,300 client board meetings. He also has overseen McQueen Financial Advisors loan sales team, where he has helped clients sell over $500 million in loans. When not running his business, McQueen is a volunteer Board member of the Detroit Institute of Arts Founders Junior Council. The Founders Junior Council is an organization dedicated to making one of Detroit's greatest treasures, the Detroit Institute of Arts, more accessible. McQueen is a graduate of Western Michigan University, with a BBA in Management and Economics.

As a 32-year member of the credit union, Harold Lowman offers his incomparable experience as a member and a workplace leader to the DFCU Financial Board of Directors. Lowman joined the credit union in 1974 as a young engineer at Ford Motor Company. After decades of working across the street from the Oakwood Beech branch, Lowman was presented with an opportunity to join the Supervisory Committee in 1997. Ia ve always had the desire to serve and thought that serving my fellow members by safeguarding their money and helping the credit union through some regulatory rough times was both an honor and a challenge.

Meet Jim Baker, DFCU Financial Partners Financial Consultant and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. In working with members, Jim helps identify clear financial goals and then assists in the development and implementation of sound financial strategies to achieve them.

Cowper joined the Supervisory Committee in 2003 where he began his training and tenure and in 2006, he was appointed to the Board. He says that what drew him to being on the Board of DFCU Financial were the synergies between the credit union and his employer, TAC Worldwide, a technical staffing company focused on engineering and information technology professionals. a The DFCU Boarda s focus on our membership is in direct correlation to how TAC Worldwide strives to provide services to our employees. This creates synergies that I apply both at DFCU and TAC.

As the DFCU Financial Board of Directors resident technology expert, Keith Moss leverages his 23 yearsa of experience in computer applications to help create strategies and actions that allow the membership to conduct their financial-related activities in one location, electronically or in-person, and with the best possible customer service. Moss began his training and tenure on the Supervisory Committee in January 2005 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2006. As a trained Board member, Moss said, a The best way I can help our membership is to apply my experience to help and serve members when they want and how they want,a ent and implementation of large-scale applications in excess of $100 million. Ita s this level of knowledge and compassion that make Moss an integral part of the DFCU Financial Board of Directors. When not working at Ford Motor Company or volunteering on DFCUa s Board, Moss distributes food to the elderly and helps prepare meals for local charities. He also is an active member of the Detroit Economic Club. Moss received both a Bachelora s and a Master of Science in Computer Science from University of Michigan and an MBA from Bowling Green University.

Shane Bumgarner brings to the DFCU Financial Board of Directors a diverse background and more than 17 years of technical expertise in the area of business intelligence/data warehousing systems, and enterprise resource planning systems. Currently his position at Ford Motor Company is managing their global finance and accounting systems. This has given him vast experience in business and IT controls a " all of which contribute to his role on the DFCU Board. Bumgarner joined the Supervisory Committee in August 2002. His experience in information technology coupled with his financial services and marketing savvy have allowed him to be a strong contributor to the credit union. a To me, being a credit union means having a deeper relationship with other members and employees of the organization.a eceived his BSBA in Actuarial Science from Drake University and is currently completing his MBA at the University of Michigan.
