Jim Smith oversees data center development, the company's efficiency & green strategy, and power procurement & energy management. In the past four years, Jim and the Digital Realty Trust team have delivered more than 300MW of UPS capacity on over 60 data center projects in North America and Europe. This portfolio includes the industry's first LEED Gold certified data center and the UK’s first BREEAM certified Excellent data center. Jim has a BSc in Chemistry from Fort Lewis College and an MBA from London Business School. He was named an InfoWorld top 25 CTO of 2008.

Bernard has served as Senior Vice President, International since September 2008 and is the senior Digital Realty Trust officer responsible for the general management, driving activity and overseeing the growth of the international business. This includes the management and operations of Digital Realty Trust’s international portfolio. Bernard is a veteran of the IT industry with over 25 years experience in the sector. Prior to joining Digital Realty Trust, Bernard was the CEO of Servecentric Ltd., a provider of Co-location and premium Managed Services to the Irish market. Before this Bernard has held senior Operations and IT roles at Worldport and Xerox Europe and held various IT Management and Software Development roles with Pioneer Investments, Informix Software Inc., Digital Equipment Corporation and Ashton-Tate.

James R. Trout became Senior Vice President of Portfolio and Technical Operations in August 2006 and has served as Vice President, Portfolio Management for Digital Realty Trust since the completion of its initial public offering in November 2004. Since 2003, Mr. Trout had been a Managing Director of Proferian, an operating partner of GI Partners, with acquisition and leasing responsibilities within the GI Partners portfolio. Mr. Trout has more than 21 years of real estate management, acquisition, leasing and development experience and was most recently President of CRG West, an operating partner of The Carlyle Group, formed in 2001 to oversee and enhance strategic telecom assets managed by Carlyle Realty Group. Prior thereto, Mr. Trout was President of TeraSpace Networks, a data center development joint venture within Ross Perot, Jr.'s Hillwood Development Corporation, and a Vice President of ProLogis, a leader in industrial, technology and manufacturing facilities globally. Mr. Trout received a B.S. degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bill Stein joined GI Partners as a consultant in April 2004 and became Digital Realty's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer in July 2004. Mr. Stein has more than 20 years of investment, financial and operating management experience in both large company environments and small, rapidly growing companies. Prior to joining Digital Realty, Mr. Stein provided turnaround management advice to both public and private companies. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Stein served as Co-Head of VentureBank@PNC and Media and Communications Finance at The PNC Financial Services Group, where he was responsible for directing the delivery of PNC's products and services to VentureBank's high technology and emerging growth client base. Before joining PNC, Mr. Stein was President and Chief Operating Officer of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust, a $1.8 billion REIT that was acquired by Starwood Financial Trust (now called iStar Financial) in late 1999. Prior to being named President of TriNet, Mr. Stein was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of TriNet. TriNet's portfolio consisted of office, industrial and retail properties throughout the U.S. Before joining TriNet in 1995, Mr. Stein held a number of senior investment and financial management positions with Westinghouse Electric, Westinghouse Financial Services and Duquesne Light Company. Mr. Stein practiced law for eight years, specializing in financial transactions and litigation. Mr. Stein received a B.A. degree from Princeton University, a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.S. degree with Distinction from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon University.

Rick is currently a Senior Portfolio Accountant at Digital Realty Trust in San Francisco, overseeing Digital's European real estate holdings and assisting in various projects for the corporate accounting department. Digital is a real estate investment trust that invests in technology property such as data centers. Prior to Digital, Rick worked for 7 years at the public accounting firms Katz, Sapper, & Miller and Deloitte and Touche in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a certified public accountant with licensure in Indiana and pending licensure in California. He graduated in 1997 from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in accountancy.

Mr. Singleton has been Vice Chairman of Spieker Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust, since 1998 and served as Executive VP and CIO of that company from 1993 to 1997. He has served on the GRF Board since 1998, and served as Board Chairman from July 2003 through June 2006.
