Dr. Weber is a partner at Domain Associates where he creates companies around promising new pharmaceutical products. He has been founding CEO of multiple biopharmaceutical companies in the Domain portfolio including Cytovia, Acea, Novacea, NovaCardia, Novalar, Orexigen, Domain Antibacterial Acquisition Corporation, Ascenta, Ocera, Syndax, Tragara, Tobira, Sonexa and Calixa. He currently serves as interim CEO of Sonexa and Calixa, two seed-stage biopharmaceutical companies. He is Chairman of the Board at NovaCardia, Orexigen, Ocera, Ascenta, Tobira and Syndax. He was Chairman of Peninsula until it’s sale to Johnson & Johnson in 2005, Chairman of Cerexa until it’s sale to Forest Laboratories in January 2007, and a Board member of Conforma and Cabrellis until their sales to Biogen-IDEC and Pharmion, respectively. In addition, he is a board member of DiObex and BioVascular, Inc. Until 1995, Mr. Weber was a tenured Professor of Pharmacology at the University of California at Irvine. He has over 20 years of drug discovery and development experience and has been a consultant to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He is the inventor or co-inventor of over 40 patents and patent applications, and he has published over 130 papers in scientific periodicals.

Mr. Blair has been a General Partner of Domain Associates since its founding in 1985. He has over thirty years experience with venture and emerging growth companies. In the course of this experience, he has been involved with the creation and successful development as a board member of over forty life science ventures including Amgen, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Applied Biosystems, Aurora Biosciences, Dura Pharmaceuticals, Sicor, and Molecular Dynamics. A former Managing Director of Rothschild Inc., Mr. Blair was directly involved at a senior level with Rothschild/New Court venture capital activities from 1978 to 1985. From 1969 to 1978, he was associated with F.S. Smithers and Company, and White Weld and Company, two investment banking firms actively involved with new ventures and emerging growth companies. From 1961 to 1969, Mr. Blair was an engineering manager with RCA during which time he received a David Sarnoff Fellowship. Mr. Blair is presently an Advisor to the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University, an Advisor to the Department of BioEngineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and he also serves on the Board of Directors of CapCure.

Jesse I. Treu, Ph.D. , has been a Partner of Domain since its inception 22 years ago. He has been a director of over 30 early-stage health care companies, 18 of which have so far become successful public companies. Present board memberships include Altea Therapeutics, Aesthetic Sciences, BiPar Sciences, CoLucid, Regado Biosciences, SenoRx and Somaxon Pharmaceuticals. Past board memberships include Biosite Diagnostics, Dianon Systems, DNX, GelTex Pharmaceuticals, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Iomai, Lumisys, NPS Pharmaceuticals, Northstar Neuroscience, OraPharma, Sepracor, Trimeris and Viagene. He has served as a Founder, President and Chairman of numerous venture stage companies. Prior to the formation of Domain, Dr. Treu had 12 years of experience in the health care industry. Dr. Treu was V.P. of the predecessor organization to The Wilkerson Group, and its venture capital arm, CW Ventures. While at CW Ventures, he served as President and CEO of Microsonics, a pioneer in computer image processing for cardiology. From 1977 through 1982, Dr. Treu led new product development and marketing planning for immunoassay and histopathology products at Technicon Corporation (now Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics). Dr. Treu began his career with GE in 1973, initially as a research scientist developing thin film optical sensors for immunoassay testing, and subsequently serving on the corporate staff with responsibility for technology assessment and strategic planning. Dr. Treu received his B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and from Princeton University his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in physics.

Bob joined Domain Associates as a Kauffman Fellow in 1997 and became a General Partner in June 2000. Established by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, this program is designed to promote entrepreneurial leadership by selecting graduate students in business, science, and technology to join select venture capital firms. While at Domain, Bob helped start Small Molecule Therapeutics, Inc., and he served as the Chief Operating officer of this drug discovery company until October 1998, when he returned to Domain. While in business school, Bob interned with MedVest, Inc., a seed venture group focusing on healthcare start-ups. Previously, he held positions at Somatogen, Inc. and at Pharmacia Biotech. Bob currently sits on the New Jersey Economic Development Authority Technology Advisory Board. Bob holds a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business Administration, University of Virginia.

Mr. Borgstrom joined Domain as IT Director in 2007. Prior to Domain, he spent eight years as a technology consultant at Computer Solutions in Princeton. He has also worked for GE Capital ITS and L?Oreal. He earned a bachelor?s degree in engineering from The College of New Jersey with a Mechanical Engineering specialty.
