Andy Smith is the Chairman & C.E.O. of Canaco Resources Inc., and has over 20 years of experience in successfully exploring, developing and operating North American precious and base metal mining and gem projects. Mr. Smith joined Aurizon Mines Ltd. in 1985 and resigned in 1998 from the position of vice-president of exploration. He is the co-founder of True North Gems, a company that is exploring and developing the first significant emerald and sapphire deposits in the Yukon. He holds a BSc and is a professional geologist as well as a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

David Groves, BSc Honours and PhD, started his career working for the Geological Survey of Tasmania. In 1972, he joined the University of Western Australia where he progressed to full Professor by 1987. He taught undergraduate classes in field and structural geology and ore genesis/economic geology. From 1987 to 2005, David was Director of both the Centre for Strategic Mineral Deposits and Centre for Global Metallogeny. During his academic career, David authored and co-authored over 500 papers and is widely published on Archaean evolution, the nature and genesis of komatiite-hosted Ni-Cu and orogenic gold deposits, global metallogeny and conceptual targeting of mineral deposits. He was President of the Geological Society of Australia and the Society of Economic Geologists, and is currently President-Elect of SGA (European Society of Economic Geologists). He has received nine medals for his research, including the Silver Medal of the Society of Economic Geologists and the Geological Association of Canada Medal. David has also been contracted as a consultant to the Geological Survey of Tanzania. He is currently Chairman of Directors and Consultant Geologist to Redstone Resources Ltd., an Australian junior with major ground holdings in the Musgrave Ranges of Central Australia.

Mr. Moore has spent most of his 30+ year career with Teck Cominco Ltd. (Cominco Ltd., Cominco Resources International, Cominco American Incorporated). Most recently (1999-2001) acting as general manager of global exploration and (2001-2003) as general manager of exploration and business development. In addition to the preceding, Mr. Moore held a number of directorships over the past decade, including with Cominco Argentina Ltd., Cominco Brazil Ltd., Cominco Madencilik Sanayi A.S., Cominco Mexico S.A. de C.V. and Cominco Namibia Ltd. Mr. Moore's experience in both base and precious metals ranges from grassroots exploration to feasibility and project development. Mr. Moore holds an MSc in geology and the PGeo designation from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He is currently a member of the honorary advisory board of the British Columbia & Yukon Chamber of Mines.
Gurpreet (Gus) Singh Sangha is self-employed and has been providing management consulting services to various companies since 2004. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Sangha was manager of Terminal Sawmills Ltd., and from 1999 to 2002, he was human resources manager of Weyerhaeuser Co. He has over 25 years of experience in various managerial roles in the natural resource industry.
Joanne (Joey) C. Freeze is President, CEO and co-founder of Candente Resource Corp. Since entering the mineral exploration business in 1979, Ms. Freeze has managed exploration programs and evaluated projects for both junior and major international mining companies such as Queenstake Resources Ltd., Arequipa Resources Ltd., Mountain Province Mining Inc., Placer Dome Inc., Dia Met Minerals Corp., Hughes/ Lang Group and Utah Mines Ltd. (BHP). Ms. Freeze lived and worked in Peru from 1994 to 1997 where she carried out both project generation work and property evaluations for Canadian and Peruvian companies. As a result of her experience in Peru, a partnership was formed with Fredy Huanqui, and a new mineral exploration company was born. Candente Resource Corp. was established in 1997, which operated privately until going public on May 15, 2000. Ms. Freeze obtained a B.A. in Geography from the University of Western Ontario in 1978 and a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of British Columbia in 1981. She is a Fellow Member of the Geological Association of Canada and is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, Canada.
