RICHARD M. FELDT joined Evergreen Solar in December 2003 as Chief Executive Officer and President.
Most recently, Mr. Feldt served as Chief Executive Officer at Perseid, a developer of optical phased array technology created by Raytheon. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of SupplierMarket.com, which was sold to Ariba. Prior to that, Mr. Feldt was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Operations at Symbol Technologies (NYSE: SBL), where he contributed to doubling revenues in four years. As head of operations, Mr. Feldt increased Symbol’s competitive advantage by streamlining its complex supply chain and significantly reducing cycle times and material costs. In addition, Mr. Feldt has held senior positions at A.T. Cross Company, Eastman Kodak Company, and Spectra-Physics, Inc.
Mr. Feldt received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Northeastern University.

CARL STEGERWALD joined Evergreen Solar in December 2007 as Vice President of Construction Management and Facilities Engineering.
Carl has over twenty five years of experience in construction management and design. His portfolio of projects includes factories, municipal infrastructure, and the Alaskan pipeline. He has held senior positions at Metcalf & Eddy, Digital Equipment Corporation and Meridian Investment Management. Most recently Carl was a Principal at North Bridge Properties, a company focused on real estate investment, development and consulting.
Gary T. Pollard joined Evergreen Solar in June 2004 as Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to joining Evergreen, Mr. Pollard worked as an independent consultant for regional and international companies in high technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and food services developing hiring, recruitment, and HR programs, and designing benefit plans. Previously, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for The Mentor Network, a Boston-based company with 6,000 employees and 150 locations in 22 states. He was also Vice President of Human Resources for Advantage Health Corporation of Woburn, Massachusetts, and Director of Human Resources for Critical Care America, based in Westborough, Massachusetts. He has also held positions at Signal Capital Corporation, Martin Marietta Aerospace, and General Electric Information Services. Mr. Pollard received his B.A. in Economics from Saint Michael's College in Vermont. He is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Northeast Human Resources Association.

Mark Farber has 27 years of experience in the energy industry. He is currently Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, a member of the Board of Directors, and a Co-founder of Evergreen Solar, Inc., a manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar power products. From the Company s founding in 1994 until 2003, he was President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding Evergreen Solar in 1994, Mr. Farber worked at Mobil Solar Energy Corporation, the solar division of Mobil Corporation, where he was responsible for marketing, sales, and corporate partnering activities. From 1976 to 1988, Mr. Farber was a consultant at Temple, Barker and Sloane, now Mercer Management Consulting, where he advised electric utilities, equipment manufacturers, and government agencies on economic, business, and policy issues related to energy. Mr. Farber has a BS in industrial engineering and operations research from Cornell University , and a MS in management from MIT s Sloan School.

RODOLFO ARCHBOLD joined Evergreen Solar in August 2007 as Vice President of Operations.
Prior to joining Evergreen Solar, Mr. Archbold served as an operations consultant at Teradyne, Inc., a $1.1 billion global leader in semiconductor test equipment, and at other leading electronics manufacturing firms. In this role, Archbold developed strategy and execution plans designed to improve global operations and supply chain design, reducing manufacturing costs and increasing responsiveness across global supply chain networks.
Previously, he served as vice president of technology and business development at NYPRO. Prior to NYPRO, Mr. Archbold served as executive vice president at Manufacturers’ Services Limited (now part of Celestica). In addition, he was director, mid range system products at Hewlett-Packard/Digital Equipment Corporation.
Archbold received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in business administration from New York University.

Dr. Yaacov Hanoka has a PhD in solid state physics and has worked on solar cells for the past thirty-two years. He has seventy publications and fifty-six patents in this field. He is a founder and vice president of Evergreen Solar. He and his wife Bina, of blessed memory, have five children, three of whom work in Habad Houses in the United States. Active in programs for Jewish college students, Dr. Hanoka writes and lectures on Torah and science.

Susan Tierney, Ph.D., joined our board of directors in December 2001. Dr. Tierney is currently a managing principal of Analysis Group Inc. where she specializes in energy industry issues. Dr. Tierney served as Senior Vice President of Lexecon Inc. from 1995 to 2003. Dr. Tierney is Chairperson of the Board of Directors of The Energy Foundation and Clean Air-Cool Planet, non-profit organizations. Additionally, she is a director of the following non-profit organizations: American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), Climate Policy Center, and the Northeast States Center for a Clean Air Future. During 2004, she was also Chairperson of the board for the Electricity Innovation Institute (a subsidiary of EPRI). Before joining Lexecon (and its predecessor company, the Economics Resource Group) in November 1995, Dr. Tierney served in senior positions in federal and state government from 1983 until 1995, most recently as assistant secretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Energy, Secretary of Environmental Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities. Previously, she was an assistant professor at the University of California, Irvine from 1978 until 1982. Dr. Tierney has a Ph.D. and a Masters degree in regional planning from Cornell University and a bachelor's degree from Scripps College.

Tim Woodward boasts eight years of managing venture capital investments for Liberty Environmental Partners, where he co-managed the firm's venture capital activities. Before that, Woodward was part of the senior management team of First Source, a start-up company providing industrial solvent recycling services. Woodward also has over six years of international marketing experience for a manufacturer of industrial filtration equipment. In 1989, Woodward earned his M.B.A. with Honors from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, where he focused on entrepreneurial studies and strategic planning. He received his B.S. in Resource Economics from UCLA at Berkeley, graduating with high honors.

William Osborn is General Partner of Commons Capital LP, a "double bottom line" venture capital fund investing in private companies with significant growth potential whose products, services or corporate cultures promote a sustainable economy by delivering market solutions to social and environmental problems. The fund is an active investor in small companies in the environment, clean energy, healthcare and education markets. Mr. Osborn is also a special partner with Arete Corporation, a venture firm managing investments in the telecommunications, software and energy industries. Prior to that he was a principal at Venture Investment Management Company, LLC (VIMAC), a Boston group managing "angel" investments in early stage companies. There Mr. Osborn focused on renewable energy and healthcare opportunities. Mr. Osborn has been an entrepreneur in the environmental and energy field, founding and managing an electric vehicle distribution subsidiary for a major utility company and starting a green business development and consulting firm. Earlier he co-managed a venture capital fund for automaker BMW and was a management consultant with Arthur D. Little, where he led a consulting practice involved with new energy technologies. Before his consulting work, Mr. Osborn practiced law and managed a state government office promoting solar energy. He also was a staff attorney at Ralph Nader's Center for the Study of Responsive Law, where he authored The Paper Plantation, a book about the environmental and social impact of the pulp and paper industry on the state of Maine. Mr. Osborn sits or has been on the boards of several start-up and expansion-stage companies, including Evergreen Solar, Inc. (photovoltaic modules), World Power Technologies, Inc. (power quality instrumentation), Surgical Sealants, Inc. (surgical wound products), Fingerlakes Aquaculture LLC (recycled-water aquaculture), and Conservation Services Group (energy efficiency services). He is a founding Trustee of the Domini Social Equity Fund and a Board Member of Investors' Circle, where he has also chaired the Selection Committee that chooses companies to present to members for investment. He has also been President of the Brookline Foundation, a local education foundation raising private funds for public school teacher development. He has a BA from Princeton University and a JD from George Washington Law School.
