Mr. Pohlad became CEO in November 2000, was named Vice Chairman in January 2001 and became Chairman in January 2002. Prior to the merger with Whitman Corporation, Mr. Pohlad was Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the former PepsiAmericas, Inc. With more than 25 years experience in the beverage industry, Mr. Pohlad has also served as President of Pohlad Companies, which owned interests in and managed several Pepsi-Cola bottling companies that were later rolled up into the former PepsiAmericas.
