Great Plains Energy Inc.

Bill serves as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at Great Plains Energy, inc. His previous experience includes Vice Prsident of Legal and Environmental Affairs at KCP&L, the first Consumer Counsel for the State of Kansas and Assistant Public Counsel for the State of Texas.

Mr. Alberts directs all customer-facing departments including the call center and field services. He was previously responsible for customer contact centers, billing, remittance, accounts receivable management, revenue assurance, service order planning and dispatching for all customers in Aquila’s electric and gas regulated operating areas. When he joined Aquila in 1987, he managed field operations at Peoples Natural Gas for eight years and then in 1995 moved into the company’s reengineering efforts in Kansas City, where he spent the next four years improving sales processes and consolidating customer information systems into a new platform. He then held a series of positions focused on process improvement in customer service: manager of quality assurance; director of revenue assurance; and leader of supply chain deployment of Six Sigma at Aquila from 2004 to June 2005. He previously worked in the retail sector, managing operations for Kay-Bee Toy Stores. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University at Mankato, Minn., and a master’s in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. Alberts is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Ms. Wright joined Great Plains Energy in 2001 and served as Assistant Controller until her appointment as the company’s Controller in November 2002. Wright began her career with Continental National Bank of Illinois in Chicago. In 1986, she joined the utility industry while at Iowa Electric Light & Power Company, and then held several accounting positions at Central & South West, a utility holding company. Following Central & South West’s merger with American Electric Power, Wright was appointed director of Accounting and Reporting at the new company. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. Ms. Wright is a member of the board of directors, finance committee and treasurer for the American Red Cross, Kansas City Chapter. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for Harvesters.

Mr. Caisley leads the Public Affairs division with responsibility for the company's community strategy, customer communications, economic development, governmental affairs and public relations areas. He joined KCP&L in 2007 as Director of Governmental Affairs.

Jim Gilligan is Manager, Corporate Treasury at Great Plains Energy, Inc. and President, KLT Investments Inc., a subsidiary of Great Plains Energy, both located in Kansas City, MO. He served as Chairman of the 2006 Annual Conference Planning Task Force and as a Pinnacle Award judge. Jim was also a member of the Annual Conference Planning Task Force in 2004 and 2005. He has served as President, 3-term Treasurer and Conference Chair of the Kansas City AFP, and is a current member of its Board of Directors. Jim has been a member of the AFP Board of Directors since 2004 and serves on the Finance Committee. He has been a member of AFP since 1998.

Gary D. Forsee Director since 2008 Mr. Forsee, 58, is President of the four-campus University of Missouri System (since February 2008), the state’s premier public institution of higher learning. He previously served as Chairman of the Board (2006-2007) and Chief Executive Officer (2005-2007) of Sprint Nextel Corporation, and Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (2003-2005) of Sprint Corporation. He also serves on the Board of Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited. Mr. Forsee serves as a member of the Audit and Compensation and Development Committees.

Mr. Sherman has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Inergy Holdings GP, LLC since April 2005 and has also served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Inergy GP, LLC since March 2001. Mr. Sherman serves on the Audit and Governance Committees. He is also a director of our two public utility subsidiaries.

Mr. Ferguson, 57, was the Senior Partner for Business Development for Tshibanda & Associates, LLC (2005-2007), a consulting and project management services firm committed to assisting clients to improve operations and achieve long-lasting, measurable results. He previously served as Senior Vice President Business Growth & Member Connections with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce (2003-2005) and is the retired Senior Location Executive (1998-2003) for the IBM Kansas City Region. Mr. Ferguson served on the Audit and Governance Committees during 2008. Mr. Ferguson is also a director of KCP&L and GMO.

Robert H. West was elected a director in October, 1985. Mr. West retired as Chairman of the Board of Butler Manufacturing Company and from its board of directors on July 1, 1999. He is a director of Great Plains Energy, Inc. and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation. Mr. West is Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee and designated as the Committee's financial expert.
