Hospitality Properties Trust

Mr. Murray has been our President and Chief Operating Office since 1996. Mr. Murray was our Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer from the time we completed our initial public offering in 1995 until he became our President in 1996. Mr. Murray oversees all of HPT's property acquisition and disposition activities. Mr. Murray has held various positions with affiliates of HPT since 1993. Mr. Murray is on Marriott International's Owner Advisory Council, InterContinental Hotel Group's Candlewood Franchise Committee and is a member of the Urban Land Institute Hotel Development Council.

Mr. Kleifges has been our Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer since 2002. Mr. Kleifges oversees all of HPT's accounting and financial reporting activities. Mr. Kleifges is a certified public accountant and prior to 2002 was a partner in the Real Estate and Hospitality Services Group of Arthur Andersen LLP.

Mr. Portnoy has served as one of our Managing Trustees since 2007. Mr. Portnoy also serves on the Board of two of our affiliated companies: HRPT Properties Trust and Senior Housing Properties Trust. Mr. Portnoy has held positions as a banker and venture capitalist with the International Finance Corp., a member of the World Bank Group, ABN AMRO and Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette.

Ethan S. Bornstein Senior Vice President Mr. Bornstein has been our Senior Vice President since 2007 and was previously a Vice President of HPT since 1999. Mr. Bornstein oversees all our asset management activities for our hotels. Mr. Bornstein has held various positions with affiliates of HPT since 1997. Mr. Bornstein is a member of the Hotel Asset Manager's Association and the Urban Land Institute.

Jennifer B. Clark Secretary Ms. Clark has been our Secretary since 2008. Ms. Clark supervises legal affairs affecting HPT. Previously she was Senior Vice President from 1999 to 2008. Prior to 1999, Ms. Clark was a Partner at the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP.

Mr. Harrington has been one of our trustees since 1999. Mr. Harrington is Chairman of the Board's Nominating and Governance Committee. Mr. Harrington was the CEO of the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club until 2002, and is currently the Executive Director and Chairman of the Yawkey Foundation and a trustee of the JRY Trust. Mr. Harrington is a certified public accountant.

Dr. Gans has served as one of our directors since 2009. Dr. Gans serves on the Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Governance Committees of our Board of Trustees. Dr. Gans has been Chief Medical Officer at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation since June 2001. He is also a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey -New Jersey Medical School.

Before founding Ackrell Capital, Bill was a Senior Vice President in ABN AMRO's U.S. Technology Investment Banking Group in San Francisco. Bill directed ABN AMRO's investment banking efforts for the semiconductor and semiconductor equipment sectors. Prior to joining ABN, Bill held technology investment banking positions at major Wall Street investment banks, including Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, PaineWebber and Kidder Peabody. Prior to his career in technology investment banking, Bill practiced corporate law in San Francisco, California. Bill holds a J.D. from the University of California's Hastings College of the Law, a M.B.A from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and a B.A. from Westmont College. Bill is a member of the State Bar of California.
