Russell "Chip" Childs came to SkyWest as senior director – controller in January 2001 and was named vice president - controller later that year. Joining SkyWest at a significant time in the airline’s history, Chip has proven instrumental in SkyWest’s evolution as a part of the world’s largest regional airline alliance.
Chip was integral in solidifying contracts and relationships with SkyWest’s major partners, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines; and played a significant role in SkyWest Inc.’s acquisition of Atlantic Southeast Airlines in 2005. His commitment to SkyWest’s people, coupled with his management of the airline’s partner carrier relationships, financial planning and internal controls positioned him well to take on the role of president and chief operating officer of the airline in April 2007.
Chip holds grass-roots experience in various fields. His work history runs the gamut from construction and truck-driving to various responsibilities in public accounting. Prior to his employment with SkyWest, Chip worked in public accounting for five and a half years as an audit manager, assisting many large Utah corporations with financial accounting and SEC reporting. He earned his bachelor's degree in Economics and master's degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Chip resides in St. George, Utah with his wife Jennifer, their three sons and a daughter.
Bradford R. Rich is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of SkyWest, Inc. and its subsidiaries. He joined SkyWest in 1987 and has served as Chief Financial Officer since 1991, after serving four years as Corporate Controller.
Brad obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Utah State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. Before joining SkyWest, he worked in public accounting for three years with Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Senior Staff Accountant.
Along with the success Brad has enjoyed at SkyWest, he is also active in the community, currently serving on the Water and Power Board for the City of St. George, Utah and is a member of the National Exchange Club.
He and his wife Pam live in St. George, Utah. They have two sons and three daughters.

Eric D. Christensen is the Vice President of Planning for SkyWest, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Eric was brought to SkyWest in 1985 as the Director of Finance to oversee the initial public offering of SkyWest stock on the NASDAQ stock exchange, which subsequently occurred in 1986.
After a successful public offering, Eric’s responsibilities were altered to work directly with Jerry Atkin as the assistant to the president. He was commissioned with all budgeting and insurance needs for SkyWest and managed the construction of the company’s hangar in Salt Lake City. Eric also spearheaded the purchase of the airline’s first regional jets.
In 1990, Eric became SkyWest’s third Vice President as he was named the Vice President of Planning. He continues to direct all aircraft purchasing and has seen the fleet of regional jets expand with the total fleet growing to more than 200 aircraft. He played an instrumental role in negotiating SkyWest’s contracts with both Delta and United. Eric has also continued to be the “project guy” managing the construction of several more hangars in SkyWest’s system and a new, state of the art corporate headquarters building in St. George.
Prior to joining SkyWest, Eric worked for four years as a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst and Whinny (now Ernst & Young) in Salt Lake City. Eric graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and later a Master's of Business Administration.
