Rafi Maor was appointed President and CEO of ECI on January 1st, 2006, after serving for the previous 15 months as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Maor has a wealth of experience in the management of global technology companies. Prior to joining ECI, he spent nine years at Indigo N.V. as President and COO. Following the acquisition of Indigo by Hewlett Packard in 2002, he was General Manager of HP/Indigo Division and Vice President at HP Corporate with worldwide responsibility for the product line. Prior to that, he spent 20 years with Israel Aircraft Industries where he held increasingly senior managerial positions. Mr. Maor has an engineering degree from Tel Aviv University and is a graduate of the advanced management program at the INSEAD Business School, France.

Giora Bitan has been a member of our board of directors since December 2002. Mr. Bitan has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for ECI Telecom Ltd. since August 2002. From October 1997 to March 2002, Mr. Bitan was a General Partner at Giza Venture Capital, an Israeli venture capital firm, where he focused on investments in the areas of communications and software and served on the boards of numerous portfolio companies.

Emanuel Nachum currently serves as vice president marketing Americas at ECI Telecom. Mr. Nachum has more than 15 years of telecom experience working closely with major, established and emerging service providers. Mr. Nachum joined ECI Telecom from Tadiran Telecom in 1999 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility in R&D, marketing, sales and market development. Mr. Nachum holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University's Recanati School of Management and a B.S. in electronic engineering from Tel-Aviv University.

Eyal Shaked was appointed EVP & General Manager of the Optical Networks Division (OND) in October 2005. In January 2007 OND was merged with DND (Data Networking Division) and the Transport Networking Division (TND) was formed under Mr. Shaked’s leadership. In 2008, ECI’s Broadband Access Division was merged with TND, and formed the Network Solutions Division (NSD). Mr. Shaked has been leading this division since then. Mr. Shaked has been part of the ECI team since 1990. As of January 2000, he served as Vice President of Research and Development of the Optical Networks Division. Mr. Shaked holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. After completing his B.Sc., Mr. Shaked joined the IDF for a period of five years where he led a team of hardware engineers and at the same time he completed his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computers from Tel Aviv University in 1990.

Tony Scarfo brings to ECI more than 25 years experience in the access, optical and data telecommunications industries. Prior to ECI, he served as Vice President of Global Alliances and Partnerships at Juniper Networks. Mr. Scarfo joined Juniper through its acquisition of Unisphere Networks, where he was Vice President of Marketing. He also spent a significant period of his career at Lucent Technologies as Vice President. He holds an MBA from Seton Hall University and a BSc in computer science from Manhattan College, New York.

Amit Cohen is an Associate Vice President of System Design for ECI Telecom's Broadband Access Division. Since he joined ECI Telecom in 1998 as a system architect, he has played a leading role in the design and implementation of ECI's broadband access product lines, as well as in their deployment in leading telecom operators worldwide. In the past few years, Amit has been instrumental in the standardization of network architectures that enable the delivery of multimedia services over DSL access networks. As part of this effort, he was co-editor of ITU-T H.610 (Full-Service VDSL - System Architecture and Customer Premises Equipment) and DSL Forum TR-101 (Migration to Ethernet Based DSL Aggregation). Amit holds a B.A. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

Shlomo Dovrat, has been chairman of ECI's Board of Directors since 2003 and previously served as Vice Chairman (from 2002). He is a founding partner in several high-tech venture capital funds including Carmel Software Fund and is also a shareholder in Dovrat & Co. Ltd., a private investment group. He founded Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. and served as its Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board from inception in 1983 until 2001. He was President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Oshap Technologies Ltd. from 1983 until its sale to SunGard Data Systems Inc. in 1999.

Avraham Fischer joined Elron as a director in August 2003. He is the Executive Vice President of IDB Holding Corporation Ltd., Co-Chief Executive Officer of Clal Industries and Investments Ltd. and Chairman of Clal Biotechnology Industries Ltd. In addition, he is a partner at Fischer, Behar, Chen & Co., a leading Israeli law firm. Mr. Fischer is the co-founder and co-Chairman of Ganden Tourism and Aviation Ltd., a company holding investments in Israeli companies, operating primarily in the field of tourism, and is the co-founder and Vice-Chairman of Ganden Holdings Ltd., which is the principal shareholder of IDB Holding Corporation Ltd. He serves as a director at Clal Industries & Investments Ltd., IDB Holding Corporation Ltd., Discount Investment Corporation Ltd., Koor Industries Ltd., Makhteshim Agan Industries, American Israeli Paper Mills Ltd. and several other companies. Mr. Fischer is a co-Chairman of "Matan – Your Way to Give", a non-profit organization. Mr. Fischer holds an LL.B. degree from the Tel Aviv University and is a member of the Israeli bar association.

Colin R. Green held various senior executive positions with British Telecom (BT) until his retirement in April 2002; these included Group Commercial Director and Secretary (1999-2002), Secretary and Chief Legal Advisor (1994-1999); Chief Legal Advisor (1989-1994); Director, Commercial Legal Department (1985-1989). He was responsible for the legal aspects of BT's public offerings in the United Kingdom and abroad between 1984 and 1993 and subsequently handled all BT's major acquisitions and dispositions in the UK and the US. Mr. Green served as a director of a number of BT subsidiaries and joint ventures, was Chairman of BT's Spanish subsidiary and was a member of BT's Executive Committee from 1996 to 2002. He is Chairman of the Hermes Group Pension Fund. Mr. Green holds a bachelors degree in law from the London School of Economics and is a solicitor in England and Wales.
Eyal Desheh is the Executive Vice President and CFO of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. Prior to joining Check Point in 2000, Mr. Desheh served as Corporate VP and CFO of Scitex from 1996. Prior to that he held numerous other finance management and business development roles, including VP of Business Development and Strategy at Bezeq, Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Teva Pharmaceuticals Ltd., President of H. L. Financial Services Ltd. and VP of Bank Hapoalim, New York. Mr. Desheh holds a Bachelors degree in economics and a Masters degree in business administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Gerd Tenzer joined the board in 2003, and brings 35 years of telecommunications industry experience to ECI Telecom, including senior positions at Deutsche Telekom, which he joined in 1990 and in which he served as Deputy Chairman of the management board from 2002 to the end of 2004. Prior to this, he worked at the German Federal Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and for 10 years headed the Ministry's Policy section. Mr. Tenzer is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Ses Global SA, a Luxembourg-based satellite company, Vice Chairman of the Board of EUTEX European Telco Exchange AG, Germany and board member of Sutter GmbH, Germany. Mr. Tenzer holds a Bachelors degree in telecommunications and a degree of “Diplom-Ingenieur”, both from the Technical University in Aachen.

Yocheved (Yochi) Dvir has been an independent strategic consultant to various projects since August 2002. Prior to that she served as Senior VP of the Migdal Group (since 1992). Since joining the group in 1981 Ms. Dvir has held a number of senior financial and managerial positions, including Head of the Economics Department (1986-1988); Head of the Corporate Office (1989-1992); Head of the General Insurance Division and Corporate Office (1993-1997); CFO (1997-1999) and Head of the group's Strategic Development Division and Marketing Array and a Risk Manager (1999- 2000). Ms. Dvir serves on the boards of a number of Israeli companies including Menorah Insurance Company Ltd., Strauss-Elite Industries Ltd., Israel Corporation Ltd. and Trendline Business Information & Communications Ltd. She holds Bachelors degrees in economics and statistics from the University of Haifa, Israel, and has completed a Masters degree in statistics (operations research) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
