Ed Meskill, a successful magazine and publishing veteran who has launched Mobile Enterprise Magazine, Field Force Automation Magazine, Wireless Magazine and, most recently, Mobile Enterprise Media Group. Ed has more than 12 years of experience in the wireless and mobile field and is on the advisory board of several leading technology companies today. Over the last 10 years, he has helped develop strategic partnerships within the industry that are still in place today. Ed also works with one of the leading mobile and wireless investment banking groups in New York called ION-Partners. John joined Edgell Communications in November, 2005 as Publisher of Vertical Systems Reseller, and is responsible for VSR's publication, website, e-newsletter, events and other associated projects. John will be launching VSR's "Vertical Solution Series" events in 2006, which will bring leading industry resellers and end-users together with sessions designed around vertical market topics of importance. John has nearly 20 years of publishing experience, mostly in the business-to-business sector. He spent a number of years in travel publishing as Group Publisher for Cahners Travel Group, where he managed several publications and websites. He launched Golf & Travel magazine and Golfweek's Superintendent News while working at Turnstile Publishing. He also spent time with Ziff Davis and was Publisher of Business Traveler magazine. John brings to Edgell a wealth of publishing, sales leadership and management experience. He has sat on several industry boards, and spoken at a number of industry conventions and events. Robert Keenan started covering the electronics industry in the mid-90s. At the time, Keenan worked as an editor with Wireless Systems Design magazine, where he helped guide the editorial direction of a publication aimed at developers of wireless systems and equipment. As the electronics sector heated up in the late 90s, Keenan made the shift to a Dot Com company called VerticalNet and took the helm of a startup/award-winning web site called Wireless Design Online. During his time at VerticalNet, Keenan also managed the day-to-day operations of RF GlobalNet, a web site dedicated to RF and microwave design engineers. After leaving VerticalNet, Keenan took over as Editor-in-Chief of Communication Systems Design, a monthly CMP Media LLC publication targeted at design engineers developing communication systems and equipment. Two years later, Keenan made the shift back to the web when he took over CommsDesign.com, a leading communication design web site that he still runs today. Keenan has served as the chair and featured speaker at several industry events, including the Communication Design Conference, Gigabit Ethernet Conference, Comdex and Networld+Interop. He holds a BA in Communication from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pa. and is the winner of the J. Harold Brislin Award for Excellence in Journalism.
