Dr. Lee Buchanan is currently Vice President, Advanced Concepts, EDO Corporation. In this capacity he is responsible for all new technology and product development for EDO, a $1B producer of Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, sonar and carriage and release equipment for the U.S. military. He is also Strategic Advisor to Paladin Venture Capital Group and a Director of TestMart, Corp. and TAC Secured, Corp. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Perceptis, a holding company for producers of wireless data collection and intelligence systems, President and CEO of QualStream, a Silver Spring, MD company engaged in the development of adaptable-bandwidth, video streaming services for public and private networks. Robert E. Allen is the Managing Director of Redding Consultants and one of its founders. His experience combines extensive line management with over twenty years of consulting with McKinsey & Company, Inc. and Redding Consultants. His line experience includes having been Senior Vice President of Emery Worldwide (overnight airfreight) where he had responsibility for all their international operations and U.S. sales and marketing. He was also Corporate Marketing Director of Genesco, Inc. (footwear, specialty retailing and apparel) and early in his career, Mr. Allen was with Hans Schwartzkopf GmbH (personal care products) and Liggett and Myers (liquors and tobacco). He is on the Board of Directors of EDO Corporation, a defense contractor, Pioneer Companies, Inc., a manufacturer of Chlor Alkali and related products and J. Roberts & Son, a UK manufacturer of luxury goods. He is also a former Board Member of Bic Corporation, an international consumer goods company and Goodwin Biotechnology, a manufacturer of monoclonal antibodies. As a Board member, he has served for over twelve years as a member of various Audit Committees and has been the Chairman of two Special Committees (Sale/Merger), two Compensation Committees, and one Governance and Nominating Committee. Robert has a B.A. in modern European history from the University of Virginia (1968).

Leslie F. Kenne, Lieutenant General USAF (Ret.), 60, retired in September 2003 from the U.S. Air Force, where she had most recently been Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighting Integration at Air Force headquarters in Washington, D.C. Previously, she commanded the Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. She also directed a number of major procurement programs, including the F-16 and Joint Strike Fighter programs. Following her retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Ms. Kenne became President of The Kenne Group, a private independent consulting firm for various defense companies and/or agencies. Ms. Kenne has been a member of our Board since April 2004 and is Chairperson of the Business Conduct and Corporate Responsibility Committee and a member of the Corporate Governance Committee. Ms. Kenne is also a director of Unisys Corporation.

In November 2004, General Paul Kern concluded his more than 40-year career in the United States Army when he retired as Commanding General, Army Materiel Command (AMC). In that capacity, and earlier as Commander of the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized), General Kern left his impact on the Army's future as he led a drive to digitize and transform its warfighting capabilities. With a staff of over 50,000 civilians and active military members, he won wide respect for his efforts to direct supply chain improvements, maintain field readiness, and modernize weapons systems throughout the Army while still controlling costs. Some of his efforts included consolidating major munitions production operations, employing radio frequency identification, and managing the supply of rebuilt equipment for the front lines, a shift critical to our ongoing operations in Iraq. In June 2004, General Kern undertook a vastly different responsibility when Secretary Rumsfeld tapped him to lead the military's internal investigation into the abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, a tough assignment that he handled with skill. Prior to his command at AMC, he served as the military deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology and was the senior military advisor to the Army Acquisition Executive and the Army Chief of Staff on all research, development, and acquisition programs and related issues. He supervised the Program Executive Officer system, and served as the director of the Army Acquisition Corps.
