Dr. Maryam Abedi is the founder and clinical director of Advancement for Behavioral & Educational Development & Intervention (ABEDI), Inc. She is a board certified Behavior Analyst (B.C.B.A.) and a licensed Marriage Family Therapist (M.F.T.). She has over 25 years of experience in the management of services for people with complex behavior challenges as well as providing behavior consultation and training. Dr. Abedi spends much of her time consulting with families of individuals with developmental disabilities, schools, residential facilities, and adult foster family agencies. Dr. Abedi is the co-author of the Periodic Services Review, a total quality assurance system for human services and education. She has done series of presentations and conferences and has conducted various seminars and workshops on the topics of non-aversive behavior management strategies and maximizing staff consistency (or staff development) both locally and nationally.
