Dow Jones Description

Einstein Noah Restaurant Group (ENRG) is the leader in the quick casual segment of the restaurant industry. ENRG is the largest operator of bagel bakeries in the U.S. Our award-winning brand stores include 639 company owned, licensed and franchised locations in 34 states and the District of Columbia. ENRG also owns one dough production facility. Five unique brands make up ENRG. With the purchase of the Einstein/Noah assets in 2001, ENRG significantly increased its offerings. Our other popular American brands include Chesapeake Bagel Bakery, Manhattan Bagel, and New World Coffee. ENRG started out as one popular Manhattan coffeehouse. The first New World Coffee shop was launched in Manhattan's Greenwich Village in 1993. The 270-square-foot shop, inspired by the flair of European cafes, served coffee from Africa, South America and Indonesia, plus breakfast pastries and Italian panini sandwiches for lunch. ENRG offers franchising and licensing opportunities. We began offering franchising in 1997 and have built a significant franchise base primarily with the Manhattan and Chesapeake brands. We recently launched a franchise program for Einstein Bros, and we are currently seeking a limited number of experienced, well-capitalized franchise partners. For more information, click here. ENRG is a public company. Having grown to 20 company-owned locations by 1996, ENRG completed its initial public offering. Our stock is currently traded on the Pink Sheets under the symbol ENRG.
