Deryl Brown is the chief executive officer of Hudson Energy Services, a fast growing energy provider in Texas, New York, and Illinois. He has broad experience in retail energy including strategy development, engineering, operations, customer service, technology, marketing, and sales. Prior to his current position, Mr. Brown was vice president and general manager for Direct Energy Business Services, a leading retail energy provider in North America. Prior to Direct Energy, Mr. Brown had a long career at TXU playing a leadership role in establishing their retail energy business. Prior to building TXU's retail energy division, he held a variety of senior positions in TXU's regulated utility business, serving TXU for some 28 years. Mr. Brown received his masters of business administration from the University of North Texas and a bachelor of science degree with honors in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Brown is on the board at the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
Charles B. Manning, Jr., joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) as vice president and chief compliance officer in February 2009. Mr. Manning has 30 years experience in the electric power industry, most recently as chief compliance officer and senior vice president for participant and corporate affairs at MEAG Power in Atlanta, Ga. Prior to joining MEAG Power as chief operating officer, Mr. Manning served as general manager for Austin Energy from 1998-2002. During his tenure as general manager, he served on the ERCOT Board of Directors representing the municipally owned utilities segment. Before joining Austin Energy in 1997 as vice president of power delivery, Mr. Manning worked for Florida Power Corporation. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Marcie Zlotnik is chairman and COO of StarTex Power, a retail electricity provider she co-founded in June of 2004. Ms. Zlotnik oversees all day to day operations as well as StarTex's regulatory and legislative group. Prior to launching StarTex Power, Ms. Zlotnik served as president and director of Gexa Energy, a $270 million retail electricity provider she co-founded in 2001. In the regulatory and legislative arena, she has served on numerous ERCOT and retail industry committees including her current seat on the Technical Advisory Committee. As an outspoken supporter of deregulated retail electricity markets, Ms. Zlotnik speaks frequently on the benefits of deregulation. She has been invited on numerous occasions to testify before the House Regulated Industries Committee on retail issues including market conditions, Price To Beat, and regulatory involvement. This is Ms. Zlotnik's second year as a Gulf Coast Power Association board member and her first term as treasurer and member of the executive committee. Ms. Zlotnik has received several professional and community awards, among them "Texas Business Woman of the Year" from the Texas Women's Chamber of Commerce and "The Houston Area Women's Center Volunteer of the Year." Ms. Zlotnik graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's of business administration in accounting. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Mike Cleary joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) as chief technology officer in March 2009 with overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating the implementation of a nodal market as outlined in the protocols approved by the Public Utility Commission. He is responsible for ensuring feasibility and efficiency in all aspects of operations related to the nodal market and has a dual reporting relationship to the ERCOT CEO and to the ERCOT Board of Directors. Mr. Cleary has more than 28 years of industry experience in global electricity and traded-commodity markets, deregulation and exchanges, and has particular experience in delivering multi-million-dollar programs on time and on budget. Most recently, Mr. Cleary was with Utilicast, who was hired by the ERCOT Board of Directors in October 2008 to provide an independent third-party review of the nodal program. He has 15 years of work experience at the Electricity Supply Board, the national electricity utility in Ireland, and also managed the information systems division at PJM Interconnection. While a consultant with Accenture at PJM, Mr. Cleary was the overall program advisor for the estimated $500 million PJM market expansion program.
Nancy Capezzuti joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) in June 2006 as vice president of human resources and organizational development. She was promoted to chief administrative officer in December 2008. In addition to human resources, employee benefits and organizational development, Ms. Capezzuti oversees project management, facilities, and strategic planning. Ms. Capezzuti has more than 20 years experience in organizational development, human resources, acquisition and facility management with 13 years in the energy industry. Before joining ERCOT, she was vice president of human resources for Esoterix, Inc., an international laboratory services company. Before that, she served as senior vice president of human resources for Southern Union Company for 13 years. She has a bachelor of science degree in math education and a master's degree in counseling and organizational development, both received at Texas State University. She previously served on the board of directors for Capital Credit Union and was chairperson of the human resources management committee for the Southern Gas Association.

Richard Morgan joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas as vice president and chief information officer in 2009. Mr. Morgan has more than 30 years with Fortune 500 companies, including experience in large-scale-system project management, strategic systems planning, business applications development and implementation, large-scale computer center implementations, and client-server system implementations and migrations. Most recently, Mr. Morgan was senior vice president of data center operations with MBNA America, Dallas, where he worked for 11 years. Also while at MBNA, he served in management roles over infrastructure and strategic systems projects and change management. Prior to MBNA, Mr. Morgan worked at ORYX Energy, Dallas (formerly Sun Oil Company), in computer services, technical services, applied technology and information systems. He has a bachelor's degree in math and computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master's degree in management science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Bill Bojorquez joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) as director of market services in February 2000. In September 2002, he became director of system planning, responsible for transmission and generation adequacy and planning, oversight of transmission system additions, and the development of transmission service policies enabling a competitive market in the region. In 2006, he was made vice president of system planning. During ERCOT's start-up, Mr. Bojorquez was responsible for the implementation of the systems and infrastructure required for the ERCOT commercial operations under Texas Senate Bill 7. Commercial operations include retail customer and market participant registration; load profiling; metering and meter data acquisition; renewable energy and transmission congestion rights accounting; settlements; and billing. Prior to joining the ERCOT staff, Mr. Bojorquez worked at the California independent system operator as the director of settlements and metering. Mr. Bojorquez earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and master of business administration from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is also a certified professional engineer.

Al Hirsch is currently engaged as the project manager for the Energy Management System project team supporting the development of the Texas Nodal Energy Management System. Hirsch concurrently serves as the managing director at CTARCo International in Washington state. Prior to his current engagements, Hirsch completed a major assignment directing the Contracts Management, Procurement, and Operations Group for a large multinational energy company. Hirsch began his career in avionics design and worldwide strategic defense satellite communications systems engineering. He was then appointed as the project director for the NATO Spread Spectrum Multiple Access/Time Division Multiple Access Satellite Communications Systems project which was installed and integrated into the military management structure of the thirteen NATO signatories. At completion, Hirsch was asked to lead the recovery of the NAVSTAR GPS Concept Validation and Demonstration Program to full scale development. Hirsch took this program through two major decision DSARC (Defense Systems Acquistion and Review Council) milestones, which resulted in the current GPS constellation and functionality being available for U.S. military, civilian and NATO use. He has managed joint ventures as well as large and small technology programs for both international and domestic government agencies and commercial businesses. Hirsch has served as COO and CFO to several start-up companies. An experienced instructor and thesis advisor, he holds a B.S.E.E. with honors and distinction from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in management from Pepperdine University. Additionally, he has completed graduate studies in management at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Hirsch also serves as an adjunct instructor for the Graduate School of Business at City University and for the University of Washington. He was awarded City Universitya s 2003 Presidenta s Distinguished Instructor Award for the Graduate School of Business. Hirsch has also recently completed his second appointment to the Iowa State Universitya s College of Engineering Executive in Residence Program. Hirsch lives in High Country in the Washington Cascades near Seattle, Washington. He has four grown children and enjoys yachting in the Sound and looks forward to his next series of cruises up through Canada to Alaska.

Robert Manning is the director of the Engineering Department for H-E-B Grocery Company, a 99-year-old, $10 billion retailing firm headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. The Engineering Department at H-E-B includes site engineering, retail store engineering, energy management, industrial project management and industrial facility maintenance. After earning his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston in 1970, Mr. Manning worked in the offshore oil industry for Fluor Ocean Services, designing shipping/receiving projects around the world until 1978. Mr. Manning then entered the solar energy graduate program at San Antonio's Trinity University, earning a master's degree in Engineering Science in 1980. For the next five years he was a partner in Applied Solar Engineering, an energy conservation consulting firm. He was awarded a U.S. patent as the co-inventor of a solar energy application in the domestic oil production industry. Until 1996, Mr. Manning managed projects, marketing, people and offices for a variety of engineering and environmental consulting firms in the San Antonio area. Mr. Manning joined H-E-B in 1996 to head the company's engineering team. He has represented commercial customers on ERCOT's board of directors since late 1999.
Jan Newton joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas Board of Directors in September 2006 after a 30-year career with SBC (now AT&T). She held positions in finance, sales, marketing and regulatory affairs. At her retirement, she was president of SBC Texas, having served in that position since 2002. As president of SBC Texas, Ms. Newton was responsible for the company's regulatory, legislative, governmental, external affairs, and community and industry relations throughout the state. Her other positions with SBC Communications included president of SBC Missouri, executive director of wholesale marketing and release policies, and executive director for the office of the CEO and chairman of SBC Communications. After passage of the Federal Telecommunications Act in 1995, Ms. Newton led SBC's effort to implement the guidelines and policies necessary for compliance. During a two-and-a-half-year period, her team led the effort to transform the corporation to a more competitive environment. Ms. Newton joined the ERCOT board in August 2006. She was elected as chairman in December 2008.

Andrew Dalton is counsel for Valero Energy Corporation, which is a Fortune 500 company based in San Antonio, Texas. Valero, through its affiliates, has approximately 22,000 employees and owns and operates 18 refineries throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean with a combined throughput capacity of approximately 3.3 million barrels per day, making it the largest refiner in North America. Mr. Dalton joined Valero in 2002, and he is currently responsible for all energy regulatory matters for Valero and oversees Valeroa s involvement in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and numerous other state utility commissions. Mr. Dalton has followed ERCOT and PUCT activities carefully in his current position and advises Valero on its activities in these forums. Prior to joining Valero, Mr. Dalton was in private practice in New York, where he advised clients on energy and environmental matters. He served as lead counsel in proceedings before the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment, and represented clients in matters before the New York Public Service Commission, the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Dalton earned his master of laws from the George Washington University School of Law in 2000, he earned his juris doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1997, and he received his bachelor of arts from the University at Albany in 1994. He is a member of the State Bars of Texas, New York and New Jersey. He has served as a member of the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee and is currently active in several energy industry trade associations.

Brad Cox is the director of regulatory affairs for Tenaska Power Services. In this role, he is responsible for monitoring regulatory matters at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Public Utility Commission of Texas that affect the domestic wholesale and retail electricity markets. Calvin Crowder is president of Electric Transmission Texas, LLC, a joint venture transmission utility company with equal shares owned by American Electric Power Service Corporation (AEP) and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company. Mr. Crowder has over 17 years' experience in the utility industry which spans public policy, industry restructuring, and regional transmission organization (RTO) development. He has provided expert testimony in multiple regulatory proceedings and directed major initiatives in business development and organizational restructuring. Mr. Crowder led AEP's integration into the PJM Interconnection, and in his most recent position as managing director of public policy for AEP, was responsible for the development and advocacy of AEP's public policy positions on major regulatory, legislative and RTO issues across an 11-state area and at the federal level. Mr. Crowder earned a bachelor of arts in economics from New Mexico State University, and a masters' degree in economics from the Center for Public Utilities graduate program at New Mexico State University.

Dan Wilkerson is the general manager of Bryan Texas Utilities. He previously served as division manager of electric production from 1978 to 1984, providing management of two power plants. He was director of electric utilities from 1984 until 2001 when he was appointed general manager. Mr. Wilkerson received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1972. From 1972 to 1978, he worked as a field engineer in the mechanical and nuclear division at General Electric Company. Mr. Wilkerson currently serves on the board of the Texas Public Power Association, serving as president in 1999, and on the Electric Reliability Council of Texas Technical Advisory Committee. He was former section chair of the American Public Power Association. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Jean Ryall is the vice president of regulatory and origination with Constellation Energy Commodities Group, Inc. (CCG). She is responsible for CCGa s regulatory and legislative interests in Texas. An active participant in electric restructuring matters, Ms. Ryall has over 15 years experience in the electric industry in both competitive and public power markets. She has participated in proceedings directing legislative and regulatory affairs activities that have led to significant changes in Texas, including the deregulation of the wholesale and retail power markets. Currently, Ms. Ryall serves as the ERCOT board alternate in the independent power marketer segment. She has regularly appeared and testified before legislative committees and regulatory commissions representing clients from various industries on diverse issues including electric, water, natural resources, environmental regulation, tort reform, asbestos litigation reform, telecommunications, transportation, banking and financial institutions and appropriations. Prior to joining Constellation, Ms. Ryall was in private practice representing clients before the Texas legislature and various state agencies, boards and commissions. Other previous experience includes Enron Corp., where she was senior director of government affairs and responsible for legislative and regulatory activities in Texas and Oklahoma. Before her tenure at Enron, she served as the government affairs officer for the Lower Colorado River Authority. Ms. Ryall holds a bachelora s degree from St. Edwards University and a juris doctorate from St. Marya s School of Law.
Michehl Gent, former president and CEO of the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), has more than 40 years of experience in electric reliability, primarily with reliability councils. He has expertise in building organizations, developing operating rules and procedures, and fostering communication between partner organizations. Mr. Gent joined NERC in 1980 as executive vice president and was elected president in 1982. Under his leadership, NERC grew from an organization of five people to more than 50 employees. He was at the forefront of the industry's efforts to improve the protection of critical and cyber assets, both before and after September 11, 2001. He also led the technical investigations into the August 14, 2003, blackout and implementation of recommendations resulting from the investigation. Mr. Gent retired as president and CEO of NERC in 2005. Prior to joining NERC, Mr. Gent was general manager of the Florida Electric Power Coordinating Group, a voluntary power pool for Florida's electric utilities. He also held several positions in both operations and planning at the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power. Mr. Gent has taught in the graduate schools of the University of Southern California and Loyola University and is a registered professional engineer. He currently serves on several policy committees and boards including the United States Energy Association and the IEEE-USA Energy Policy Committee. A native of New York, Mr. Gent is a veteran of the U.S. Army and holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and a master of science degree from USC.

Paul Hudson currently serves as Commissioner of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). He was appointed by Governor Rick Perry on August 26, 2003, and his term expires September 1, 2009. Prior to his appointment to the PUCT, Mr. Hudson served as director of Policy in the governor's office, where he managed the policy office and advised the governor on policy issues. He previously had served as the policy director for business and regulatory issues, focusing on energy, telecommunications and economic development issues, and he served as the office's liaison to the PUCT and other state agencies. Before joining the governor's staff in 2001, Mr. Hudson worked at the PUCT as an advisor to a commissioner and a senior economic analyst. At the PUCT, he analyzed and helped develop public policy on a range of telecommunications issues, including utility market restructuring and the development of competitive markets. Mr. Hudson's experience with the utility industry also includes serving on the National Governor's Association Task Force on Electric Infrastructure, the Western Governor's Association Working Group on Cross Border Energy Issues and the 706 Joint Federal/State Board on Deployment of Advanced Services. Mr. Hudson earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and received a master's degree from Arizona State University.

Bob Helton is the director of regulatory affairs for American National Power (ANP) and has more than 24 years of experience in the electric industry. He is responsible for developing regulatory/market design policy in support of ANP's generation development and market activities within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), including extensive participation in the ERCOT stakeholder and Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) processes for the development and modification of the ERCOT retail and wholesale market design and protocols. His responsibilities also include the coordination, advocacy and negotiations of ANP's market policies in the stakeholder process. He is a member of the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee, chairman of the Wholesale Market Subcommittee and a board member of the Competitive Power Advocates Legislative Lobbying Consortium. Previously, Mr. Helton served in Reliant Energy's regulatory department, where he coordinated corporate policy relating to regulatory activities associated with the PUCT and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. From 1980 to 1997, he held several supervisory and managerial positions within the nuclear power industry. During this time, he gained experience in power plant operation, media coordination, supervision and management in both the technical and business sides of the nuclear power industry. Mr. Helton holds a bachelor of science degree in nuclear science from the University of Maryland at College Park.
