Elementis Plc.

Ruthann Germann was appointed CIO in June 2006. She joined Elementis after years as a consultant with Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young, JD Edwards, and most recently, as an independent consultant. Prior to consulting, Ruthann held various financial positions at Wyeth.

Kevin Erickson joined Elementis in 1999 and has held the positions of Global Human Resources Director for Linatex, Vice President of Human Resources for Specialties, and in October of 2005 was appointed to Vice President Elementis Worldwide Inc. Previously, he held Human Resources positions with SmithKline Beecham's Worldwide Supply Operations.

Marty Neil joined Elementis in January 2003 as Vice President of Operations for Specialties. Prior to joining Elementis, Marty held various positions in manufacturing with Dow, AlliedSignal, and FMC. Most recently before joining Elementis, he was head of operations for FMC Agriculture Chemical.

Robert Beeston joined the Board and was appointed Chairman of Elementis in September 2006. He is Chairman of the Nomination Committee, non-executive chairman of Cookson Group plc and the senior independent director and chairman of the remuneration committee of D S Smith plc. From 1992 until 2002 he was chief executive officer of FKI plc. He spent 18 years with Dowty Group before joining John Brown Plastics Machinery (UK) Ltd as managing director. In 1985, he was appointed managing director of BTR Valve Group, a position he held for six years before joining FKI plc.

Brian Taylorson was appointed Finance Director in April 2002. He was previously Head of European Chemicals M&A at KPMG Corporate Finance. He joined KPMG in 2000 from the Dow Chemical Company where he held a number of positions in finance. He holds an MA from Cambridge University, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Walker Allen joined Elementis as its General Counsel in September 1999. Prior to joining Elementis he was Associate General Counsel with GE Americom (now SES Americom), a GE Capital company, and before that Senior Business Counsel with GE Plastics (part of General Electric Company). Before GE, he was an associate in the corporate departments of two prominent New York City law firms.

Ian Brindle was appointed a non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee in June 2005. He retired as Chairman of the Audit Committee in April 2008 and was appointed Senior Independent Director. He was until 2001 UK Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers, is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Financial Reporting Review Panel and was a member of the Accounting Standards Board between 1992 and 2001. He is a non-executive director of Spirent Communications plc and serves as the senior independent director on the board of 4imprint Group plc.

Ken Minton was appointed to the board of Elementis as a non-executive Director in June 2005. Ken has served on the board of several FTSE250 companies, including ten years as Chief Executive of Laporte PLC. Ken is currently a non-executive Director of Tomkins PLC, Solvay SA, the Belgian multinational chemical and pharmaceuticals group and PayPoint PLC. He is also Executive Chairman of 4imprint Group PLC (July 2004 - present). Ken served as the UK representative to CEFIC (the European Chemical Federation) from 1988 - 1995 and is a past president of the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI). He was awarded the SCI Centenary Medal and received a CBE in 1995 for services to the Chemical Industry.

Kevin Matthews was appointed a non-executive director in February 2005 and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee in April 2008. He is chief executive officer of Oxonica plc, a UK-based nanotechnology company, a role he has held since 2001. He joined Oxonica from Rhodia Consumer Specialties Limited and previously held roles with Albright & Wilson UK Limited and ICI Chemicals and Polymers. He holds a D.Phil in organic chemistry.

Matthew Peacock was appointed to the board of Elementis, as a non-executive Director in June 2005. Matthew is a co-founder of Hanover Investors, a specialist turnaround investment firm based in London and New York. Prior to Hanover, Matthew ran the International M&A team in London at Barclays De Zoete Wedd in 1989, having previously worked in New York for Credit Suisse First Boston. Matthew has a strong operating background, having been the CEO of three turnarounds since 1991, as well as leading investments in, and serving on public and private company boards across several sectors.
