Mr. Callahan is President of MCT Corporation, an investment firm specializing in public and private equities principally within the technology and consumer products sectors. Additionally, Mr. Callahan serves as Chairman of Embedded Planet, a Highland Heights, Ohio company that designs, manufactures, and distributes high-powered single-board computers. Customers such as Lucent, IBM, Cisco, and Ryan International use the company's products in data networking applications. In 2001, Mr. Callahan successfully attracted venture funding for Embedded Planet from an international venture investment firm based in the United Kingdom. Mr. Callahan is a founding General Partner in Consumer Innovation Partners, L.P., a private equity investment partnership providing seed capital to consumer product start-up companies. The fund focuses on commercializing new consumer products developed in conjunction with Nottingham-Spirk Design Associates, one of North America's preeminent consumer product design firms. Mr. Callahan serves as the Executive Director of the Fred A. Lennon Charitable Trust, which provides financial support to Cleveland area non-profit organizations. He also serves on a number of non-profit boards including the Cleveland Institute of Music, The Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art, The Cleveland Institute of Art and Case Western Reserve University, where he serves on the executive committee. Mr. Callahan received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
