Empire Oil Company was established in March of 1961 when Dick Alden left Union Oil as a Resident Manager for the San Fernando Valley, and purchased a small Shell Oil tank wagon fuel and lubricants consignee in Riverside, California. The original "fleet" consisted of one 1941 Chevy tanker which was capable of delivering 800 gallons of fuel at a time, and a 3/4 ton package delivery truck. The total monthly volume was approximately 20,000 gallons of gasoline and 10,000 gallons of diesel. Oil and grease sales were about $2500 per month. Forty years have gone by and Empire Oil has grown by recognizing our customers always come first. We have worked diligently to create and maintain relationships most importantly based on friendship and trust, but also with the idea that we're providing products and customized services which help those companies to be the best they can be. We listen and react to each and every individual need, and settle for nothing less than completely delighted customers. There have been several acquisitions along the way, and a few moves to accommodate the growing pains. Today, from our brand new facility in the heart of the Inland Empire, Empire Oil is positioned strategically to serve the areas of Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, San Diego and Imperial Counties.
