He is President & Chief Executive Officer of Enbridge Inc. and has more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector having served as President & Chief Operating Officer of Enbridge Inc., Chief Executive Officer of Interprovincial Pipe Line Inc. and President of IPL Energy (U.S.A.). Pat also serves as a director of EnCana corporation and Enerflex Systems Ltd. Mr. Bird is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Development, Enbridge Inc. and is responsible for Enbridge's principal financial functions and corporate planning, mergers, acquisitions and business development. Prior to his appointment Mr. Bird was responsible for all of Enbridge's crude oil and liquids pipeline operations in North America, including Enbridge Pipelines and its related liquids pipelines operations, and Enbridge's many opportunities for new pipelines to transport growing oil sands production. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Bird was Group Vice President, Liquids Pipelines and prior thereto Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning and Development. Mr. Bird joined Enbridge in 1995 after holding senior financial and corporate development executive positions at a number of other companies. Wayne Sartore is Vice President Northern Pipeline Development for Enbridge Inc., responsible for the development of opportunities for Enbridge investment and operational management of northern pipelines. Mr. Sartore graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, is a professional engineer and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. His professional career began with Proctor and Gamble in the pulp and paper business in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He joined Enbridge (formerly IPL) in 1980 and has held a series of increasingly responsible engineering, operational and management positions in Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and South America. Wayne's career has included the engineering and construction of capacity expansion projects, operational management start-up of the Norman Wells pipeline and senior management leadership of the OCENSA joint venture pipeline project in Colombia.

Mr. Bill Trefanenko has over 28 years of experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry involving engineering design, construction, project management, operations, integrity and rehabilitation, maintenance, and management in both owner / operator and engineering consulting companies. Bill is currently Director of International Operations, and is responsible for business development activities to advance the company's equity interests in pipelines and facilities outside of North America. Rick George was appointed president and chief executive officer of Suncor Energy in 1991.
He was named "Outstanding CEO of the Year" in 1999 after leading a remarkable business turnaround at Suncor, and received the Canadian Business Leader Award in 2000. Rick was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in December 2007 for his leadership in the development of Canada's natural resources sector, for his efforts to provide economic opportunities to Aboriginal communities and for his commitment to sustainable development. In 2008, he was inducted into the Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame.
Rick served as chairman of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives from 2003 to 2006 and remains on its board of directors. He has been a member of the North American Competitiveness Council (NACC) since 2006, and was selected to serve as chair of the Canadian contingent of the NACC in 2008.
Rick was a member of the Calgary Committee to End Homelessness in 2007 and is currently chair of the 2008 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference. He is also a member of the board of directors of the world’s largest U.S. offshore drilling company, Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling Inc.
Originally from Brush, Colorado, Rick spent 10 years with Sun Company both in the U.S. and the U.K. During this time, he held various positions in the areas of project planning, production evaluation, exploration and production, and in the international oil business, the last four of which were spent in the U.K. as managing director of Sun Oil Britain Limited. He moved from London, England to his current position in 1991.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Colorado State University, a law degree from the University of Houston Law School and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.
He and his wife have three children. The entire family became Canadian citizens in 1996.
