Endocardial Solutions, Inc. (ESI) designs, develops, and manufactures a minimally invasive diagnostic system that diagnoses, within the span of a few heartbeats, arrhythmias, potentially fatal or life debilitating heart rhythms. ESI believes that its proprietary EnSite Catheter and EnSite 3000 Electrophysiology Workstation make a powerful new diagnostic tool that will enable electrophysiologists to rapidly and comprehensively map arrhythmias and improve the selection of patient treatment options. Currently available technology is capable of diagnosing only stable, patient tolerated arrhythmias. The EnSite 3000 System provides electrophysiologists with a real time image of the electrical activity of the heart without contacting the heart's surface. The high resolution, 3D, color display generated by the EnSite 3000 System is designed to provide electrophysiologists greater diagnostic capabilities than single-point contact catheter mapping devices. The EnSite 3000 System displays more than 3,000 points of electrical activity using ESI's proprietary algorithms. In addition, the locator function of the EnSite 3000 System enhances diagnosis and treatment by providing electrophysiologists with real-time feedback of the precise location of auxiliary catheters introduced into the heart.
