Aryeh Shander, M.D. is the Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, Pain Management and Hyperbaric Medicine at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, NJ. He is also Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology & Medicine at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and Executive Medical Director of the New Jersey Institute for the Advancement of Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Program at Englewood Hospital. Dr. Shander lectures nationally and internationally on a variety of topics related to blood conservation, volume resuscitation, acute anemia therapy, "blood substitutes", surgical blood management, acute normovolemic hemodilution and bloodless medicine and surgery. His publications have appeared in The Lancet, the journal Transfusion, and Transfusion Alternatives in Transfusion Medicine, for which he serves on the Editorial and Scientific Board. He is the author of book chapters and contributes to textbooks on blood management. Dr. Shander is a reviewer for Chest Journal and Transfusion. Dr. Shander is a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a founding member of the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management (SABM), and the American Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists (ASCCA) where he serves on committees, both locally and nationally. Dr. Shander is a member of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the Society for Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and the National Anemia Action Council (NAAC) where he also serves and the Secretary, Treasurer. In 1997 Dr. Shander was recognized by Time magazine as one of America's "Heroes of Medicine". Dr. Shander received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, where he also served as Chief Resident. Additional postgraduate training included a fellowship in critical care medicine and a residency in anesthesiology, both at Montefiore Medical Center.

Edna Cadmus Ph.D, RN, CNAA received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from William Paterson University, New Jersey; Master of Arts in Nursing Education degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York; and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from Adelphi University, New York. Ms. Cadmus is a certified Nurse Administrator through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a recipient of the NJ Governor's Nursing Merit Award for Advanced Nursing Administration. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau-dual membership for Adelphi University and UDMNJ. As the Senior Vice-President for Patient Care Services, Ms. Cadmus manages Nursing Services, Care Coordination, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Rehabilitation Medicine, Radiology, Home Care, Hospice, and the Generic BSN Program. From 1996 to 2002, Ms. Cadmus co-chaired the Education and Competency-Based Workgroup and served on the Steering Committee for the Colleagues in Caring Grant for New Jersey. In 2002, she was elected to Board of Directors for ONE/NJ. Ms. Cadmus had published several articles, namely, "Differentiated Practice: The Model of the Future", which was published in 1997; and "Cadmus- Defining the Generations: There are Four", which was published in 2002. In 2000, Ms. Cadmus did her dissertation on "The life of a staff nurse in transition to late adulthood".

Kathleen Kaminsky RN, MS, CNA received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from William Paterson College, New Jersey and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from College of Mount Saint Vincent, New York.

Jo Ann Walter, MSN, RN, BC received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Felician College, New Jersey and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. Ms. Walter is certified by the American Nurse's Credentialing Center in Home Health Nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and Kappa Gamma Phi honor societies. Jo Ann has served on the Board of Director's of New Jersey Home Care Association for four years and was recently reappointed to serve on the New Jersey Hospital Association's Advisory Committee. She recently completed serving on the Community of Practice Home Health Planning Committee for The Peer Review Organization of New Jersey, Inc. Jo Ann has worked at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center for fifteen years. She first served as Assistant Director of Home Health and Hospice and was promoted to Director in 1990 and to Executive Director in 2000. Her expertise in home health and hospice has successfully guided the agency through many reimbursement and regulatory changes throughout the years.

Dr. Lee Eisenberg graduated from Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, in 1971. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco in 1977. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) and the American College of Surgeons. In addition, he is a member of the AMA, Bergen County Medical Society, American Rhinological Society and Society of University Otolaryngologists. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in NY, NY and The University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ. He was recently elected Coordinator of Government Relations for the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Eisenberg practices at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center where he is chief of Otolaryngology, and Hackensack Medical Center. His areas of expertise include Pediatric Otolaryngology, Thyroid Surgery, Otology, Sinus Disease, as well as Snoring and Sleep Apnea. He works closely with our expert Audiology staff to provide the most appropriate hearing rehabilitation for hearing loss. Dr. Eisenberg has received the Special Service Award from the Board of Governors of the AAO-HNS and a Presidential Citation from the Academy for his nationally recognized work in practice management.

Dr. Jawetz is an Attending Physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Center and The Valley Hospital. She achieved the honor of Alpha Omega Alpha for academic achievement during her medical education as well as the Helen Downes Prize for greatest promise of distinction in medicine.

Dr. Robert Doidge is a board certified, Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. He is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, and the American Osteopathic Orthopaedic Association. He is also an Attending Physician at Englewood Hospital Medical Center and Pascack Valley Hospital. Dr. Doidge has been name one of the Best Doctors in the New York Metro Area since 1997. He is the team physician for several local High Schools and has successfully treated many high profile High School and College athletes.

Dr. Starer grew up in Tenafly and was valedictorian of her graduating class at Tenafly High School. She is an attending physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, and a senior clinical instructor of pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital.
